Weekend hunt at Berleberg. Fred and Daisy made the trip, but Mary preferred to pout back home with sister Jane and make Daisy voodoo dolls with the kids. They all looked relieved to be without her company! Especially Fred who is now free to flirt openly with Carina who seems to be making quite an effort to be gracious in light of his awkwardness!

The hunt was in honour of Prince Richard's 75th birthday. Prince Henrik was in China, but what was Mary's excuse? Some Danish friends came down to enjoy the fun, including Hologram Helle Reedtz-Thott who did a little shopping with some friends in town. Nathalie got a new puppy - a nine week old black lab named Alice. What a little honey bunny! So's Gustav who got Carina this diamond and ruby engagement ring.

A short article on Fred and Joachim's cousin Thomas Beauvillian. He's the son of one of Prince Henrik's sisters and he also is a winemaker in France with his Danish wife Mie and their three kids, Oscar, Josephine and Marius. Mie was an au pair at his mother's house when they met. Cousin Fred's favourite fantasy! His best-selling wine is a Rosé Pression. They live in Puys L'Eveque, not far from Cayx.

Mary at Tivoli for the unveiling of this year's Christmas Seals stamps. Says she bought some Chrissie presents for Xian and Izzy in Vietnam. Sorry, Iz!

Some royal friends out on the town. Fred's friend Ellen Hillingsř is in a new movie (Over gaden under vandet)and looked great at the premiere.
Ballerina Rose Gad (who babysat Amber at Xian's baptism) and her husband, Fred's schoolfriend Holger Foss were out at a party with some show biz friends and others.

'Mary's Long Day'. For reals. Mary is once again poked gently by BB for having such a busy day - TWO events in one afternoon. It was so stressful for sister that she had one of her Ladies-in-Waiting at one while the other supported her (or whatever they do) at the second. What mary won't do for Denmark!  She looks stupid in that outfit. She has too long a torso to wear wide legged pants and a long jacket over a longer top and that jacket is so badly tailored, too. If she ripped off all that braided trim, it'd be much better, but it's still rather boxy for her. She needs jackets with nipped in waists. |

Well, check this out, Hester. BB held a seminar at a Spa to trumpet Princess Mary to the masses. Never mind that this is Mary's only Danish demographic - spa ladies who are light-headed from an hour in the sauna!
It's really incredible in the history of royalty that a publishing company has had to go out to the public beyond what their mags are capable of and try to sell a stupid, ugly show pony as if she were to the manner born and the answer to all of the nation's problems. You have to give it to them, until Daisy changes the succession, BB will still try to make Mary look good. I hope they take the money made from the fees and by a new, super Maxx Turbo airbrushing machine!
Those of you who can't read Danish, rejoice, for you would seriously  if you could! One of the journalists is quoted as saying "Think of it, Mary has not made a single mistake since she came to Denmark. She hasn't made any wrong statements, hasn't shown up in inappropriate clothing, nor does there exist a single bad photo of her" is how she characterized Mary. I'm sorry, but this is not a question of insulin shock. It is actually sick and disturbing that adults would worship another living person this way, regardless of the position of the person being worshipped. There is not a person on this earth who hasn't made a mistake. Oh wait a minute, yes there is. Officially, Kim Jong Il of North Korea is absolutely perfect. According to the Iraqi press (pre-invasion), Sadam Hussein won re-election with 99% of the Iraqi people's vote. And then we have Mary. She's in very good company. Thanks for the scans Cece! So is Carina engaged? Are they still waiting on the Nazi will to be thrown out by the courts or has Gustav finally decided to just marry her already? I think Carina would be so much prettier if she would just fix her teef. They are so ugly! I guess its a good thing that she hasn't done a Marge and smoked like a chimney. Imagine how much scarier they would look with a yellow tint On one hand, I'm glad that she doesn't have the stereotypical Hollywood "perfect white chiclet teeth" but at the same time, they don't fit her face and they jut out too much. Also, I couldn't help but think of Izzy's short tweedy pants that she wore in the holiday card pic and with grandpa Slurpson when I look at Carina's hunting outfit. Maybe Mares and Frex are grooming her to become a hunter? |
