i agree. however i have no doubt that had one of mary's sisters had a child out of wedlock she would have been labelled as trailer trash.

Hola published the announce of pregnancy and explained "the true history". For a person who doesn´t like the press and wants to stay anonym, the choice of Hola as "spokesperson" is a little odd, don´t you think?

Her attitude towards the press changed when the press speculated about her pregnancy without an "official" boyfriend. That they lived separated and that they wouldn´t wed.

That is for me and for most of the Spanish people (I hope) not a problem. But for the SRH (catholic) and the monarchists in Spain, that´s a disgrace. Do you remember queen Sofia´s biography? It was a drama for her that Elena divorced Jaime!!!

And at that time, the SRF had to see every day how the press has reported about the new life of Telma as single mother! The situation was not easy for Letizia who needs to show always how perfect she is and who doesn´t accept critics. In the moment where the pics with the pantoufles were published, ended Letizia´s patience and came the demand.

And although Telma lost this demand, nobody published any pics more from her, til she got her connection job.

And now, this person who wants to stay anonyme, goes to book presentations where there are a lot of press, and you can see clearly that she doesn´t like to be there.
And so, we are fortunately by the true subject of the topic   :

She came back to Spain for the birth of her child, there was no way she could hide her pregnancy forever with the big interests of the press on her all the time. If Hola broke the story, what a surprise ! Hola broke many stories on the famous people including royals too.
Telma spent most of her time abroad after Letizia married Felipe. Her vacation time in Spain was usually about 1-2 weeks long. It's easy to be patient and friendly for a very short period of time. Her waiting for the birth of her child was the longest stay for her, the TV heart programs were gossiping about her constantly, the photographers tailing her, she finally lost her patience. Some journalists said that Telma's lawsuit had a lot to do with her Erika's death. She had truely experienced what Erika had gone through after she broke up with her daughter's father.

That´s called hypocresy, incoherence or like we said in Spanish, "tener un morro que se lo pisa" (sorry, I don´t know the translation).


Little correction: taxpayers are paying for her living, and she owes everything to the fact of being Letizia´s sister.

I repeat: in Spain we have 20% unemployment, the country is very affected by the crise, no one finds a proper job... Nowadays, people with universty studies have to work at a supermarkt clerk, selling insurances or giving privat teaching. In this situation, the job that Telma got is outrageous and a shame.


That for the "grey job". She goes from reception to reception... one could say she has taken the "filial" place  of the SRH in Barcelona... Just a casuality that Cristina had to go to USA:

if photographed is part of her job (which i don't think it is), she should not have looked so pissed when she was photographed after her appointment.

there are lots of things that hinted at telma being favored because of her royal connection. in that she is no different than many other people with connections. the only thing is that i find silly is to pretend that she got the job without any help.


hanzo, congratulations to your friend for having had the choice. you will always have stories like hers. however, the situation that pepa describes is a sad reality for many in spain.

you can check my posts on the subject of telma's job and you'll find that i consistently said that she most likely benefited from her royal connection. she is not different in that from many other people that are favored over others. i do think that other people did not get the same chance because of her royal connection. she's not the first one nor the last one that will benefit from her connections.

re. your friend. i don't think that i said that she was "special". just find it great for her to have had the choice. such stories exist but they remain unfortunately the exception.

re. the being photographed comment, you wrote that photographed is part of her job. what you write now is a bit different. though i suspect that telma gets the attention because of her royal connection not because the job.
