I always find it fascinated how all the royals are so warm with one another with the exception of the BRF  Huh?

Is JC already released from hospital? Maybe he was visiting some nightclub with CG.  It's amazing how Sofia & Silvia were born in completly different worlds and yet ended with the same fate, trapped in a disfunctional marriage with a fool who thinks he'll get away with anything.

Agree with you Lexy, there is really a warmth comming from those pictures. I never knew that Sofia & Silvia were close, but probably they have a lot common to talk about.

Silvia was interviewed by a German newspaper in March. Most of the questions were about her work in children’s rights.

http://www.derwesten.de/p...rossmutter-id6469066.html

The link was posted by MagMil at TRF.

Some excerpts:

Children - they are the reason for your volunteer work. Why children?

“It has crystallized over time. I travel a lot, have seen a lot. The worries, the tragedies of the children. I've talked to people who take on such cases and noted how difficult it is to draw attention to the problem of sexual abuse. Then I wanted to help. I remember twelve years ago, in Brazil, I talked with my friends about the children and the problems there and then I decided to work in that direction. Since then we have had the Childhood Foundation, and I’m very proud of this, it supports 600 organizations and projects. We do not do it ourselves, but we support, with advice and help, those who deal seriously with the issue. That's a big job.”

Is it easier to get donations and recruit volunteers now - or more difficult?

“It is like this: 15 years ago, no one wanted to talk about the topic of sexual abuse. People didn’t notice this problem or did not want to notice. So it is good and important that it is now on the agenda. But you have to wonder whether it is there because it has increased… But one thing for sure: If it is not on the agenda, then people cannot help.”

When you travel to Germany: Is it foreign to you or a little bit like coming home?

“Coming home. You know, it's a bit like when you have a child and you love it. But when you have the second, you wonder whether you can love it equally. And again with the third. But: Nature helps. And so it is with me: I grew up in Brazil, went to school in Germany, now I live in Sweden. Bringing them together is very good. And because of that Germany is like coming home for me.”

I agree, and the cheating husbands are not the only thing that come to mind.  I'm beginning to think that they may have the same plastic surgeon Tongue

- how to keep a straight face
- problems with kids bfs/ spouses
- grandchildren
- hair-do (they seem to have the same style)
- plastic surgery

They do look like good friends. Its nice to see, not the usual formality. Grin

It would be funny to have Bea, Sonja, Lilibet, Paola and Margrethe join them. At least one topic (spouses of children) would be an interesting chat.

CNN did a segment about Silvia’s work with Childhood.

http://thecnnfreedomproje...s-child-sex-exploitation/

Excerpt:

Why not simply focus your efforts in your country, in Sweden?

“This is a problem which you have in every country. You know, it has nothing to do with to be poor or not, you have it everywhere.”

“The exploitation of children is the same wherever you are. We don’t reinvent the wheel, but we find the good organizations, even if they’re small but they’re doing wonderful work, we try to help them.”

Her efforts are really admirable.  Thumb up I know of organizations she visited without even having much publicity. It seems really close to her heart.

I really like Sofia and get good vibes about her warm personality. Sophia I don't get any warm fuzzies from. Is she a warm person?
