I forget which Danish publication had that delightful little bit of misinformation, but it was in one of the articles that emerged after she gave birth last year.  It was such a stupid thing to say (and so obviously not true)

Does anyone else think that this must have been written by the same writer who gave us the "Mary held one twin in her arms while the other was being delivered naturally" gem from last year?  I've never been pregnant, and I suppose that with an uncomplicated birth, it might be possible to get up on a horse, but wow.  Nathalie must be a tough cookie.

It's taken from an interview with the Danish magazine Alt for damerne that they bring this week. It's a very nice interview - the main point of the interview being that for Natalie it's very much about what you do, not what you are. She also manages to talk about being brought up partly by nannies without whining about it (take that Fred!) but says it was another time: she and Johannes are simply doing things differently than her parents. She's a country-person unlike her mother and sister who both love the city (no mention on Carina..) Very nice interview. She seems like a very nice, smart and also quite strongwilled person Smiley

HORSE RIDER'S JOURNAL - MAY 2012

The new issue of Horse Rider's Journal is out featuring our very own Kristoffer Sakurai. Kristoffer styled nonetheless than princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg in everything from casual day wear to elegant evening dresses.

A bit too much photoshop, but in general a very nice photoset  Smiley

Thanks MW!  Those earrings that she's wearing on the cover are gorgeous   I wonder if they're real, and if they belong to the family?

Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein won Sunday DM-gold in the dressage horse Digby.

Nathalie has won at the Danish Dressage Championships this weekend (3.6.2012). Together with her horse Digby she outdid their personal best, so she might turn up in London for the Olympics

Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein has high praise for his horse, Digby, after the victory at the championship in dressage. The pair rode to the music from the musical West Side Story victory in the so-called freestyle. Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein are extremely pleased with Digbys
- Digby is improving day by day in this championship. Yesterday we beat our personal best in Specialen, and today we beat our personal best in the freestyle, says Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein in a statement.
- Digby was fantastic walking, and everything went up in a higher unity. This is my third Danish championship on three different horses, two of which are homegrown, so I'm very happy, she says.

Joachim Christian Thomsen won the silver horse Akeem Foldager while Sidsel M. Johansen took bronze at Schianto. The Danish dressage rider is in a crucial stage in relation to selection for the Olympics in London. On 6 July will be added the names of the three dressurekvipager and a reserve to be included for the Games in London. Denmark won bronze in the team competition at the last Olympics four years ago.

Is there the possibility that she competes with Zara, if both are in their Olympic teams?

I simply do not recognise her in this photo - too much photoshop. In general the pictures are beautiful, but as one said, too photoshopped and frankly, for my taste, on the verge of being tacky.

No they will not compete. Nathalie is doing dressage and Zara military. That are different categories.
