Mary and Kate ... who?

I thought she rocked it on her wedding and that they looked so happy.  I think Maxima and Willem are still happy - I think she would have married a rich person no matter what, because of the lifestyle she is used to, and hey, this one happened to be a prince, why not?  I think she loves her girls and might not be googly in love with Willem but they get along well.  She knows how to manage his temper.

The whole weddings were touching, there's no such thing like a love o meter to check who loves more...
She came from a rich family, had an independent life, graduated in economy, worked in a bank, is a poliglot, and sure for me at least both love each other, they marriage is doing fine so far or working, because both wants the same.
Dating... engagement are a previous view of how life can be, BUT living under the same roof is way different.
Her wedding gown is amazing i like it a lot, seems to me to be the same fabric of Vickan, anyways good health and long life for both. Champagne

A documentary about in honour of their 10th wedding: http://nederland1.nl/gemist/35538

Thanks for the video
WA and Max actually look and work well together, Maxima fits well for the family and is a good representative for the Netherlands.....luckly this royal family got it right, compared to the Danish royal family and Great Britain

I loved their wedding. It was at the same time regal and emotianal. You realy had the feeling that they love each other. And Max adjusted herself to her new position very well and fast. As far as I know she speaks the language well and makes a good job. I think it was wise that she choose integration of foreign women into the dutch society as a personal topic because it has to do with her own story, nevertheless she had it much easier. She loves her daughters and probably her hubby. But you can take it for granted that she also loves the lavish lifestyle.... I remember an interview with a "friend" of Maxima from Argentina. He said that she thought of herself that she couldn't find a man in her homecountry because they can't deal with "strong" and independent women. So she went on and ... found a prince.  I wouldn't call her a golddigger but a certain lifestyle is something that she definetly expected. But to get sugary again, I realy like her.

I think dominate might be too strong. Many men in latin american countries still have a very macho attitude. They expect women to be demure, and not head strong, independent. Its cultural. She wanted to find a man who accepted she had a mind of her own, had ambitions and dreams, and wasn't a light weight. IMO.

I also like Maxima’s wedding dress very much.  It’s one of my favourites, and I’m not that easy lady to please when it comes to cloths, style, coiffure, elegance etc.  Blush But that’s about the only time I did like something about this totally self-obsessed person… (Okay, I believe Maxima to be a loving mother and a good spouse… right…)  Smiley

I loved her wedding dress It was fab

I think the wedding and the bride were emotional because of the fact that her parents were not allowed to be there plus she played the telanovela part

I don't think she loves WA as much as he loves her I almost get the feeling he feels amazed/grateful  she married him

I get exactly the opposite feeling. To me, they were - and still seem - crazy about each other. In the engagement press conference, at one point, while WA was speaking, Maxima looked at him, gave him a big smile and then winked at him. In another video, she was asked something about where she would like to be, and she said "Wherever Alexander is." They couldn't stop kissing each other on the balcony on their wedding day, and in videos and photos over the years, their actions, body language and manner of speaking all, to me at least, convey a great deal of love and respect. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic!  Smiley

I have to agree. Other than Vik and Dan, these are the two who seem truly in love. Its not just in words, but looks and body language. And even after 10 years they seem just as happy, as well with their three beautiful daughters.

Great commentaries by many foljs here. I agree with so many thoughts. Thanks for all the work on these clips...bringing them together. Quick question...in the second clip at the end the host says diabetes. Can someone tell me if Claus had diabetes or who the host is refering to? Many thanks!  Champagne

The flowers in the background of this photo match the flowers in the cathedral, which were AMAZING...!!!!

I absolutely adore large formal flower arrangements.  Max and Wax had the very best flowers of any of the royal weddings. Have a look at the video of the flowers near the altar - pale greeny white blooms of different types - just stunning.

The Easter flowers at The Vatican are provided by The Netherlands for years now.
"Bedankt voor de bloemen" is part of the Urbi et Orbi, I think is the only part of the speech the dutch pay attention!!

BTW
Everyone talk about how sad Max was at her wedding because her father wasn't there and the tear and all that.....well I thought she was about to do a "touch down dance at the balcony"  So much for sadness!! Snare
