Marie is happy to be photographed..
I like the photo with her wearing a ski jacket matching Vincent's with the fake fur collar.

I think that part of being a Royal is politely having your photo taken.
Victoria always turns and stands for people to capture a shot that they came to secure.
To be out in public would be - to be prepared for a photographer at any time!
I couldn't stand it. Crap

The point being made about Mary loving the camera seems to have been lost at some point. Of course no one is expecting the royals to not look at the cameras when they are having their photo taken! As Cloaked says, that's going to happen all the time. Many of the photos posted are from such occasions. Mary's speciality is seeking out the camera, when she should be looking at something or someone else Wink

I have to agree. Most of the photos appear to be from events where at some point and official photo is taken to mark the occasion or she is entering into a space with a crowd of photographers.

The only camera hungry ones I see are those taken in Switzerland when she foolishly gave interviews and posed. She toned it down since then, and in videos it's very clear she is no longer camera hungry. I doubt there are videos of Marie physically shoving her husband or even her child out of the way so she would have the spotlight. Both such videos exist with Mary, and much much worse.

Right on,  Yes  she never does anything else, her concentration is totally out to lunch, every time, it's never about the event in hand, it is always about Yrma...(repeat ad infinitum... Dead)

I never saw Marie who stopped her husband on the stair of the palace just to make more photos. Marie is smiling and camera likes her. At the beginning she liked being photographed more, now I think she's just doing her job.

Im not claiming to be objective here because I am a Marie fan but all things considered it IS part of the job to be photographed smiling. For me it's the attitude and how things are done in generel.

I am hardly a Marie fan, but I have to say that there is a difference between satisfying the media's and public's wish for photogenic smiles and satisfying your own need to be adored.
Most of the women who have married into royal families in this generation are somewhat attention seekers and enjoy the public adoration. To be frank I think you definitely need this character trait in order to survive.
The big question is: do they give something in return? Are they able to divert the limelight shed on them onto the purpose of the event?
Or do they give the impression that the purpose of their being there is to be bathed in public adoration?
I don't particularly buy into the Marie-adoration, don't like her. But I don't think she is as narcisstic as Mary. Few are tbh. Mary has set the bar of her camera-whoring very high and the only one who is coming close is Waity. Marie (as obnoxious as she might be) while perhaps not particularly interested in the event she is participating in, seems happy to be there.
Mary is happy, there is an event she can showcase her fashion, accessories and her presumed glamour.
Mary is not there for the event, the event is there for her.
