Was there some kind of announcement why she didn't fly with Daniel and C-P? I thought they wanted to take Estelle with them, so staying because of her is no reason. I don't think she's pregnant already The only thing that's been said that I know of is that Vic wanted to stay home with Estelle. I don't see that as a reason honestly cause Estelle could have easily gone with them but who knows.

Exactly, because some weeks ago they said that this will be Estelle's first trip abroad, so either she became sick or there's a reason why Victoria couldn't fly suddenly (still don't think pregnancy )

I kind of wonder if Vic has settled in to a type of 'house wife' role now that she's a mother. That's great for her if that's what makes her happy but it's hardly going to work out that way for her. She's a furture queen and has always done well in her role as crown princess IMO but being a mother doesn't change her role. I think right now she's happiest taking care of Estelle but sooner or later she will be back on the job just as she was before.

I think she's simply enjoying the last days she can with Estelle before going back to "work". He calendar at the end of August is already busy. IMO Olympics are not such important event for royals, except Brits who are hosting, Dutch, Danes & Luxs who are camping there the rest comes and goes. While it would have been nice to see her & Estelle there, it was probably not worth dragging a 5 month old baby around the circus.

That's her job she should be there IMO It won't matter for the baby who's going to be in a hotel and mom can still breast feed

First this, and second the fact that this was planned long time ago. I don't think it's ok to step out of this just because she doesn't want to go with Estelle any more. So I hope there's a different reason for not going to the Olympics.

Might be pregnancy, might be other hormones (can take the pill when feeding is fully established.. though most don't). Great if she is preggers - if you are fit and healthy the gap though not ideal is no real problem - I know many people in their 30's who ended up having 2 kids 15 months apart. re not travelling - main concern would be that she has become over anxious about herself and the child - aware of some friends who would not travel without the child and if they were without the child were irrationally anxious about risk avoidance eg taking trains rather than flying. No sense to any of it really but we mothers have problems being rational when kiddles young -

I doubt VIckan is preggers, but what do I know, really. I would imagine they'd give it a bit more time between babes, but mind, should she be preggers, Estelle would be at least one year old before the next one arrives.

Just noticed that Fred and Jokke were born 1 year 2 weeks apart - that really is a small gap!

I admire Victoria for staying at home. The Olympics would not be as comfortable for Estelle as staying in her own environment. And an unhappy baby is never fun company.

I'm not sure I admire Vickan for those things, especially considering the staff she has at her disposal, literally. But I fully agree an unhappy babe is never fun company!

So I hope there's a different reason for not going to the Olympics. Why do you consider it important for Victoria to be there? IMO the Olympics is about the athletes and it doesn't really matter how many royals and from which countries are there. (Ok, the British royals are an exception here, as their country is hosting.)
