950,000 Kroner for Christmas Seal

The amount that goes to the four Christmas Seal, was presented by Julemærkemarchens patrons Countess Sussie and Count Ingolf of Rosenborg and Chairman Ingolf Romlund the Christmas Seal Foundation's new President Hans Erik Nielsen. He thanked, on behalf of all children and adults in the four Christmas Seal and stressed the importance of the annual Christmas Seal March, which now has over 18,000 participants and 63 starting locations across the country.

Seal The march is a good tradition, and the many participants who are 5 or 10 km, is helping to ensure the impressive profits. Presentation of donation from the Christmas Seal March took place at a festive event at Julemærkehjemmet in Skælskør, and the picture shows from left Ingolf Romlund, Countess Sussie, Count Ingolf and Hans Erik Nielsen.


 

Christmas Seal
Each year, the four Christmas Seal helps approx. 700 children aged 6 to 14 years to a better life. Our relief work has always reflected the needs of society, and today the majority of children are overweight. But obesity is not alone. Most kids are bullied and disenfranchised community, and many have never had a friend. We meet children who do not believe in themselves and live an isolated and unhappy lives. It makes Christmas Seal Mene addressed.

Hmm... so, more children are becoming overweight in Denmark.
It seems that this is now common in most western countries.
Too much Macca's and not enough exercise, I reckon.
 
It's a nice amount of money and I like the concept of the Christmas Seal collecting for children at Christmas..
