I live in Manchester but I didn't go to media city to see the Queen. I volunteer at a charity whose office is not far from media city and there was a buzz in the atmosphere, but I find that the older I get the more objectively I view the royals and their role so I didn't put any effort into going to see Queeny.

Queen Elizabeth's outfit is classically lovely.
QEII and DofE look tired today.
Maybe the pale dusky pink washes her out a little or maybe they are weary - being over 85 and having an active schedule??

Off to The Tower for the Queen's dresser. That fourth button on her sleeve is dangling and about to fall off.

The Queen does look lovely.  It's so nice to see the Queen and the DOE seeming to enjoy all the festivities, and each other for once in their long lives.

I am hoping William and Kate honor them by naming the first born after one of them.

Star for good spot  Yikes  !!  The Queen looks so much happier without silly Kate and her-showing- her- knickers self and hyenna smile.

Liz and Phil will be at my wedding since I'm marrying their grandson so no surprise visits for me.  Wink

ETA: Since it was during the Manchester visit I just put it here instead of creating a separate thread.

When they discovered who it was Mr Canning, jokingly wrote to Buckingham Palace to invite the them to the celebration, but had received a reply politely declining the offer.

But the Palace decided to make their dream come true and got in contact with Manchester City Council to arrange the surprise.
