There was something incredibly magical about their wedding. I don't know whether it was Alex's demure gown, the fairytale style snow or the photos from their first dance but I honestly thought their marriage was for keeps.

It's a shame because she was a very good princess, Denmark will not see another of her calibre again IMO.

I agree, there's just something about the their wedding.  It was a perfect winter wedding.  I also liked the gown QMII wore to the wedding. It's much more regal than then one she wore to Frederik's wedding. I love this wedding photo:
