A lot of people have over the years mentioned how empty Mary's eyes look. I have said the same myself a number of times.

This is a picture posted by hanzo of a young Mary....her eyes look fine.

I brought up the point that perhaps her eyes could be he way they are now due to medication. Does anyone agree/disagree? I remember Mary a few years back was reported to have anxiety issues?

I thought I would start a seperate thread for this discussion as it was in the Xtian and siblings area.

I remember thinking it was odd that when the engagement was announced Susan Moody made a rather bizarre comment about Mary's mental health. I don't remember what she said exactly but it always struck me as a very unusual thing to say as up until that point there was no hint of Mary suffering from any kind of mental health issues. Thinking

(I think it was Susan anyway). Thanks for making a separate thread Smiley

Star Interesting. I have never heard a comment like that. I wasn't around at that time  Huh?

I do remember tho there has been an article or two about Mary having anxiety issues, especially stemming after her mothers death. Someone I have spoken to that says they were related to individuals that worked with Mary back in Sydney or Melbourne, told me that she was almost fired due to a serious case of acute nerves. She was told to seek help or she would lose her job as this condition caused issues at her work.

I don't know how true that was but....

Thanks for the story, BW Star  Yes It wouldn't surprise me if she does have anxiety issues as she looks constantly on edge. She never seems to just relax and be herself (probably because she hates herself so much but that's a whole other story).

I don't remember what Susan Moody said exactly but it was soemthing like don't worry about Mary's ability to cope with the pressure. It was weird because to seemed to come out of nowhere.

It does seem to have some truth to it. She always seems very on edge and concerned with how she is thought of. I think she's a mental health case, personally LOL.

She seems to have a case of OCD as well, what with all the touching of the hair and clothes etc.

i don't know if this is an OCD thing or simply greed but I remember when abs/Lille counted the number of beige heeled shoes she owned it came to 20 or so (maybe more). Does anyone know if that sort of obsessive buying is a sign of OCD?

It could be, couldn't it? I think with OCD you could fixate on anything?

I thought this thread would have been more popular discussion-wise when I created it.

Extravagant spending is a symptom of borderline personality disorder - and perhaps other mental illness too.
Or Mary could just be very insecure about herself as well as very greedy and materialistic. She buys designer items to boost her self-esteem. And she buys a lot because she feels entitled to it. So she's both insecure and full of herself.

http://www.webmd.com/ment...onality-disorder-symptoms

Have an unstable self-image or be unsure of his or her own identity.
Act impulsively in ways that are self-damaging, such as extravagant spending, frequent and unprotected sex with many partners, substance abuse, binge eating, or reckless driving.
Have frequent emotional overreactions or intense mood swings, including feeling depressed, irritable, or anxious.
Have long-term feelings of emptiness.

Yes I think Diana Again was the first one here that said that Mary was not right. She also said that the mother wasn't right either!!
Then later we had another poster Pose, danish, that also said that Mary is  Crazy!! Too much coincidence?? Pose to support her/his opinions wrote that Fred used the letters of song in purpose during the wedding speech because the song refers to someone mentally ill!!

IMO I think Mary is bipolar, these people are natural at lying and manipulating!!

Bipolar disorder and depression are usually secondary disorders/symptoms of people who have borderline personality disorder. People who have BPD are often also bipolar and suffer from depression.

That would certainly explain why the kids are so unkempt (for royal children) though Mary works little, has nannies, and has lots of time to devote to her kids. People with these mental illnesses have trouble functioning. They sometimes retreat to their rooms all day, can't get out of bed in the morning, etc. It takes everything Mary has to keep herself looking together, she has little left to tend to her kids.

Or she could just be selfish and un-caring and egotistical.

She looks happy here because she was actually eating solid food. This girl knows how to nearly starve herself. I remember the clip from her wedding, just before the reception began, the speeches hadn't even started and Mary was oh so slyly stuffing a roll or whatever in her face. Totally rude yes, but obviously she hadn't eaten in awhile.

I don't believe there is anything actually wrong with Mary. She is just selfish and arrogant.

I think at this point her body doesn't register the food at all, not even craves to have cheeseburger!!  Crap
