I think her dress fits the occasion, it is a very nice mumsy looking dress.
The only thing which does not fit is Mary's pretentious, self-centered, 'look-at-me' face on these pictures.
The guy looks like a nerd I would never trust. No idea who he is but Mary is in good company with him.

Yeah - I have to take back that I would wear that outfit - I hadn´t seen the whole thing when I said that. I still like the top though, unlike most apparently. The skirt is frumpy.

This is the most stupid picture I have seen of this silly cow.

This is a pretty good outfit for Mary. Except for the pink purse, it is surprisingly coordinated. Also, the skirt is A-line which suits her body much better than pencil skirts.

She should've chosen a blue or green purse which are the dominant colors in the outfit. The blush color in the blouse is too pale for the purse to bring out.
The "tile" pattern on the blouse extends the width of her shoulders which emphasizes her wide shoulders.
Also, the skirt is too long.

But all in all, this is one of her better outfits - suitable for her body and for the occasion.

Thanks for the photos. It's pretty clear that the top doesn't have any pink in it...or at least not the shade of the mismatched handbag anyway.

I like the dress - I´d wear it. Nice colours, nice pattern and nice cut. The bag is too pink and too large, in my opinion a pink bag is sort of OK, since there is pink in the top, but it should be much smaller and a little darker.
In my view, this is not a solemn occasion; it is about saving lives of newborns and mothers - actually a joyful thing. That said, Yrma doesn´t have to prance around like a show horse, and she doesn´t have to grimace and pose like an attention seeking teenage girl. She IS forty...
WHY does she have to spoil EVERYTHING with her self centered and erratic antics?

I recall Fred and Mary making a real show of using their latest edition mobile phones while on an official event about a year ago, and now Mary seems to be doing the same again with another mobile.

I think there is a fine line between promoting a cause, and acting in a manner that could be construed to be promoting a product or brand.

I haven't had a chance to look through all of the photos for this particular event, but given all of the fun Mary is having acting out how a mobile phone is used, I wonder how seriously the intended message is being received.

The dress isn't bad so much as it's another example of Mary's erratic styling - one day posh, next day funky, next day high street labels, and so on. When someone is dressing themself, there tends to be consistency in style; with Mary, it goes from one extreme to the other.

Star to both of you.

I didn't say she had to act solemnly but she could try acting with a little class and dignity. I guess she would need to have some in the first place to do that though.  Roll Eyes

On my computer there are lots of pink in the top.

Thanks Lille Smiley It still looks like a different shade to me.  Yes

I wonder how much time and energy she wasted on finding a pink bag that was similar to her top. If she harnessed some of that time into actually working then she might become a useful humn being.

It doesn't look like her outfit is Prada after all. It's Baum und Pferdgarten

I actually think the bag quite goes with the outfit. She looks good for once, IMO. Shame about the arrogant look though

Good for Mary to wear Danish fashion. My guess is that she wears more Danish than we think...

I'm so happy she didn't wear the matching pants:
