I can't believe that Marge is not stepping in. If that was my DIL, I (and I have no clue about fashious) would surely (1) Make sure she wears a Danish designer for the occasion (produced in Denmark!) - and something more "classy" than H&M (2) Give her a briefing that she knows what she is talking about.
maybe its deliberate Miss M?? they ALL wanna see her FALL flat on her botoxed face G Miss M + IB

H&M is Swedish at least.I really love the dress. I like also the fact that H&M use organic cotton. The dress, on Mary, looks fine. Her hair is nice. I would never have worn a yellow belt nor the beige shoes and brown clutch. Overall her look is very disjointed. There are too many colours in the mix. All white accessories could have looked cute, or all grey or all yellow. I never admire grey and brown together. Hopefully Mary will improve her dress for this Fashion Industry Summit as the days go on!
That doesn´t help the Danish designers - we are not the same country! promoting Sweden and Italy must be CP MEdiana's idea of modernising the Slooow Danes' monarchy And She SHOULD Not improve as the days of the fashion show go on...SHE should have got it by now Excellent Dio G

Oh, Barf! There's a part where she's asked about Danish fashion, and she responds as if she's an authority on the subject though she isn't wearing a single piece of Danish anything. And we know she rarely wears Danish. Ever. She should wear more Danish fashion, and there are some good brands; but at Izzy´s baptism she wore a Danish dress - it was horribly badly sown!

As I listened to the CNN interview, she strung words together which made no sense. I really tried to follow her line of thinking and ended up feeling like I was walking in a thick fog of nonsense. Her comments where she said "it was too early to talk about that" and calling her own dress beautiful came across as arrogant. In fact in the entire interview she seemed condescending to me. BTW, I thought her Australian accent was strong. What happened to her posh Euro-British accent?

Having Mary speak as an authourity figure on fashion is as comical as Fred being tauted as an expert on all things green.
I applaude H&M and others for introducing "concious" collections, but I'd be even happier if they paid living wages to those adults and children who produce their wares in 3rd world countries.
Shame Mary didn't factor that subject into her speech on CNN... you know, what with her being such a concious minded Princess and mother and all.

What's with her English?! That is not normal. It's like the english people speak in my office (I'm Austrian) when they want to come across uber-important and accomplished.
Is that Australian English? Really?
And she adds extra "air" to many words at the end or in the middle or wherever.

Who designed it? I always thought it was designed by the same designer who designed the pink fluffy dress she wore at Frederiks and recently at maxima's birthday!? He was some guy from some country in eastern Europe!? Or did he just design the birthday gown?

[/quote] IIRC it was designed by a Lituanian designer, not Danish ...and it looks like a cheap copy of her Prada dress that she wore when she returned from her Sour-Moon..you know the dress...creame coloured, and had all this rhine-stones on it...fugly G

I listened to her speech, and it is clear now, that she just re-chewed the main points of her speech in her interview and didn't really answer the journou's questions.. just as I thougth

I just watched the video and the silly twat has matched her dress and the yellow belt to the stage-set tree with a yellow fruit (or bird?), that is beside the lectern where she makes her speech She spoke rubbish ... nonsensical pretentious rubbish.
I am seriously tired of 'organically themed' unsustainable promises coming from the mouths of those who wish to be in the limelight. There are many players in the western world who are talking this idiocy, but who live by opposite values. Mary is one.
I view Mary as an opportunistic consumer with no demonstration of self-restraint. A woman who is obsessed with her own self but has no idea who she wishes to be; and who, like many rich men's wives, loses her self-respect by frantically over-spending their money.
She is the world's least relevant fashion player.
