Would you dress like Princess Mary why/why not

Me persoanlly same of her clothing is quite nice and her shoes are amazing but her outfits are always either tryhard or totally sloppy and she really doesn't have a middle ground and sticks to it and the way I dress I have a lot of bright colours running through my clothing collections from blue right through to purple and orange and I have even dared to wear yellow I can't stand when winter hits here in melbourne australia most of the people are wearing black, white, grey, beige, brown and I havn't seen anyone gutsy enough in this city wearing pink, purple, green, orange etc but I need that pop of colour in winter to make myself feel better and not feel so blue by being drowned in a sea of depressing dark clothing and and i'm the only one even on the train who sits there and gets complemented about my clothing, headbands, make up and the other reaction I get is with the girls they sneer at me becouse I have an impecable dress sense but would I dress like mary no unless you want a young person to think you were in your 50s

So would you dress like mary or keep to your own style Supercontent

I am a bit conservative in my dress style, so I don't find anything really wrong with how Mosh  dresses. It isn't her dress sense that annoys me, but rather what she spends on her clothes, bags, shoes which does.  Crap

No for mr.  Mary has some nice pieces, nice shoes, some weird, some wonderful accessories, but she cannot put an outfit together to save her soul.  She tries to be edgy and avant garde but just comes out looking like she doesn't know what he's doing.  Really, she's still dressing like she did in Sydney, only with mre expensive textiles.

Aussiecro, I am with you on e bland and boring winter attire many don in winter in Melbourne.  If you ask me, winter is an ideal time to wear bright cheery colours, to counteract th dull grey days.....and there are so many in a Victorian winter.  I tend to wear a lot of reds myself.  I look good in red ( not full of myself....ive just been told this enough times to think it might be true!) and I like the warmth it brings to mind.

Nope, I know what suits me and don't need to be dripping in labels to feel good about myself.

I would never dress like Mary because I could not afford many of the items that she wears.
If I were able to have access to Mary's clothes (in my size) I would definitely wear some of her coats and some of her blouses and a couple of pairs of her boots, casual winter rain coats and riding gear.
I would also like to wear some of the winter suits and a white blazer and cardigan or two.
A couple of Mary's winter ball gowns with long sleeves I'd like to wear and also an evening cape.
Just for a special dressing up event...playing dress ups is fun at any age!

Mary's trousers I don't usually like.
I dislike her sense of belt style.
Her shoes would be too high and I am not a big skirt/dress wearer nor a big user of handbags.
I love hats but could only wear them to the occasional wedding, apart from sun hats.

I fully agree with all your posts

Mary has a great colour palette in her clothing it just that when she trys to mix colours together sametimes it works like try 20% of the time and the other 60% of the time it's a train wreck and what makes it worse is when she trys to match her shoes, purses, hats etc it gets even worse. Her make up and hair doesn't help and considering that mary is forty she should be trying to dress like she is still in her 20s still but dress for her age which is a 40 year old women.

My one pet peeve that I can't stand is when I walk in to stores like Dotti, Bardot,Forever New,Supre and great clothing for the right age group but when I see women in there 40,50s walking in there and trying and buying clothing that are targerted towards a younger age group the first thing that acrosses my mind is matton dressed as lamb and I have seen women wearing these clothes in public like a 40 year old in skinny jeans that a 16 year old should be wearing or a strapless dress that will show everything if you bend down and a 40 year old is wearing it yikes. I think this the the trap that mary fulls into she might think that just becouse i'm 40 I can still wear clothing that is targeted towards teens and young adults or she then dresses like a grandma which the young genration can't connect with.

I do that my mum has a top from millers that cost about 30$ but she wears it with black trousers and a jacket but my mother is pushing 69 years of age so I let her go with her fashion choices. But I at times have grabed this top and worn it with a balck belt and a pait of black or coloured shors and a pair of thongs or ballet flats and I have just take an old person clothing and made it my own and my mum thinks i'm a little smart shit when I do this with her clothing.

But poor mary hasn't got any orginaity to make her clothing style stand out from the crowd and that is sad
I also bought a lisa hoe dress from a small boitque in 2009 and when I saw the price tag which was 900$ I felt sort of guilty buying it but then mary crossed my mind and I though mary spend more then this on a pair of dumb shoes why should you feel bad about splurging just once so I bough it this dress has only been wore once but the night I wore it and the luxury of the money that I had spent on this dress was worth it but it only cames out for events like weddings or melbourne cup etc but not for everyday wear.

I would put her to shame she might have more clothes but I recyle mine more then she does . I also went to david jones once and bough a alannah hill caot for 490$ this coat and all the other caots I have get there time in the spotlight when I wear them outside but I spend up to three months paying of this lux iteam off unlike mary who just buys becouse she can and I don't think she really apprectiates any of these piaces wither there really expensive designer pieaces or there cheap piaeces there just clothes to her that can be sunstauited for more newer clothing just a diffrent style and a diffrent session in trends but I can't afford to do this session in session out so I have to go one summer and one winter designer pieace tat is going to make a statement when I wear it either  a dress, coat or shoes which rarely happens I usely buy mines at betts becouse i'm not spending 1000 on  a designer name on a shoe but mary does this becouse she can and I can't. I find it stupid to spend 350 $ on blouses and skirts and pants and jackets when I really wear them same as with bags I have guess bags that aren't too expesive and I just swap them around and I have two clutches and I use and no way will I buy a bag for 2,000 or 5,000 just becouse it has prada or guicci.

Also another reason why I wouldn't dress like mary is becouse she is frivolous and just buys things becouse she can weather she needs it not and she trys to show pony around with her clothes bags shoes etc and she knows that we can't level up to her and buy these iteams becouse we need to save for these things and she doesnt need to.

My heels very rarely see the light of day unless it an important event and the job that I have little children and high heels don't mix and mary is going to been a a whole lot of pain by the time she hits 60 becouse of her high heel wearing my mother use tio do this were heels everywere to work to go out to pick me out froom school over the years of wearing heels every day her feet know are a twisted tourted mess and she has followed my lead and is know wearing ballet flats instaed but guess what they don't make them in you destroyed your feet size and she can't waer them either becouse they get inflammed.

There you have it mary is a red light no go zone for me in terms of how to dress I think she might try to steal same clothes from my warrobe but guess what i'm a natural size 6 and mary isn't she use to be a natural size 12 before she straved her self into a pretend thinness which I don't need to do I wish I could put on 5 kilos poor me. Thumb up

I have a freind who's brother bought her a lip stick for her birthday and I though cool nice gift but she went on to tell me that her bro payed 90 dollers for this lipstcik and it was chanel lipstick I was gobsmacked and though both of you are morans for spending that much for a lipstick that nobody really cares about but she also informed me if she got engaged that the type of diamond she would want is a pink diamond and I though for you to get one of those you might have to turn yourself into a playboy bunny to get a pink dimond on your pretty little finger and this poor girl is just after a guy with a bank account like mary and an easy lifestyle. There is only one word golddigger anyone. Hug

Chanel lipsticks don't cost $90. Are you sure it wasn't another brand?  Thinking

In Australia, makeup is disgracefully expensive.

Personally, I buy Chanel lipsticks and I love them.  I've never paid $90 for one though. Where I shop - Myer or DJs - they're usually about $50-60.

Well, let's say I would love to have access to her wardrobe because she has some really great dresses and shoes. It's just a question how to wear them.

Hi freethespoon  this was a couple of years ago this young lady told me about chanel costing 90$ and she never informed me were her younger brother bought it for her but I just though shit that is really expensive even spending 50 $ on a lip stick is too expensive for me I usely go to price line to get my make up essentials but everyone has there fav spots to shop. I have moved over to DJ only becouse of crap customer service experinces at myer. Unless she was exgerating the price just to make herself seem more self important.

I would most definitely wear many of Mary´s outfits - I would just match them differently. However, I don´t think there is a single pair of her pants I would wear!
