Oh THAT project went down out the window when it failed to advance Mary as the NEW Peoples Princess. She only did that one stint, trying to ride Diana's coattails with it.  It didn't work.  Nobody decided that she'd make a good Di replacement, so she dropped the cause and moved on.  Which seems typical of Mary, the One Hit Patron Wonder.

She looks like some butch Dr. who characyer, an exterestrial cross between a Smurf and a Dalek.

that is initially Alex's patronage and FYI - Alex first visit to UGANDA was in 1996: In January 1996, a few months after her wedding her first official trip as Princess Alexandra of Denmark lead to Africa. The trip went to Uganda in Africa, although media interest around the wedding reached unprecedented heights, the power of breakthrough on this trip. On this trip, there were some 30 journalists and photographers. On this trip, there were some 30 journalists and photographers.

MOTHERS HELP (Mødrehjælpen)

In 2007 Yrma took over one of Alex's patronages, called "Mødrehjælpen", Alexandrea gave up/had to give up, when she married Martin Jørgensen.
"Mødrehjælpen", is a private humanitarian organisation which each year helps more than 5,000 single mothers, young pregnant women and vulnerable families with children. https://www.moedrehjaelpe...=article.view&id=2943

Since October 2010 the Mary Fonden began expanding the anti-bullying campain to Danish women’s shelters, and currently offer Advice for Life at shelters in Aarhus, Elsinore, Esbjerg, Roenne , Naestved and Kolding. The project is a joint undertaking of the Mary Foundation, Nykredit Group, the association Østifterne and also Mothers’ Help waspart of the project – and LOKK and local law firms for the part at women’s shelters.

when was the last time did a solo engagement for them, and not under the umbrella of the Mary Fonden?

seems to be an annual even, which Yrma took over in 2007 - in previous years, Alexandra attended the openings of the festival as patron. Yrma isn't even listed as the patron on their website.

The problem is that Alex is not a member of the DRF anymore - she is Mrs. Jørgensen. The grey men must have decided that it would be an odd choice to send Alex and Martin to greet Will and Kate?

very true, but Alaxandra is still the patron of UNICEF Denmark: Princess Alexandra, patron of the Danish National Committee for UNICEF. Princess Alexandra, the ‘Children’s Princess’, has been patron of UNICEF Denmark since 2002. She has visited Thailand, Bangladesh and India to see firsthand UNICEF’s programmes in action.

That's one of the reasons I didn't think the Mary Foundation was a good idea; it seems to be in competition with many of her existing patronages and it's obvious which one she favours.
