Hester  and PeDe I reckon you are both right in your observations. Maxima's feet do look like she suffers from Eczema. Even when under doctors orders the condition often still looks a fright. The problem is that so many ointments and heat, soap, wool, friction etc. can agitate Eczema. In my very unqualified opinion, I think that it could indeed be the culprit. |

The feet, the armpits, everything, and not just Maxima.
Ok if you have some health problem and can't get your feet to look nice then please don't wear open shoes!
Or just throw some basic moisturiser on them in the morning, that would help.
I do hope all these royal ladies are getting regular medical check ups. There are conditions like diabetes that have no symptoms, except sometimes the feet can have problems, and that might be the only sign. Chronic fungal infections or rashes can be a sign of a medical issue.
Mary - get those pits lasered or cover them up in public!

Basic moisturiser would definately help.  and if it's eczema and she's sensitive to chemicals, there are lots of good organic creams, she can even make her own virgin coconut oil which is believed to have healing properties. |

It's almost like people read this board. A German tabloid magazine has made this story into a drama. It's like she's dying... Frontpage: "Mysterious infection - Doctors warn for fatal consequences for her health." They suggest it's much more than forgotten cream or fungal infection. Some unidentified infection. They express fear that the kids will become infected also. Blah-blah. Forgot the rest and I doubt it can not be extrapolated from the short summary above. As Shakespeare already wrote: much ado about nothing.  But refreshing that it's is a negative article. Generally the German Foreign Royal Dutch Family  can't do much wrong. |

A pic from this week, Max got a pedicure!! My heart goes to the person that got close to those feet!! So no eczema just an acute case of lack o hygiene!! lots of good lotions from many famous names... but the one in the pic, is cost less than 6 american dollars and applied twice a day, do wonders! While the time in 7 years I had no time to take care of myself, due that my now late grandmother needed me 24 hours I can tell, my feet were worse than Maxima.  |
