I'm going to hazard a guess here that Maria is not going to be too happy with the fact that you're insinuating posters on another royal forum are liars/stooges.

I´m not insinuating anything. There are two versions of the same holidays. Maybe they are both wrong or right. Who knows? As I have said, how can somebody doubt about the information of the friend of a poster of TRF, specially compared with the information provided by Hola? And now, you can turn it and say (of course, if you want):

"I'm going to hazard a guess here that Maria is not going to be too happy with the fact that you're insinuating journalists of a magazine are liars/stooges."

I haven't made any comment about the Hola story or whether it's true or not.  Blink So please don't put words into my mouth.

I's the 2nd time you've done this recently and it's way out of line IMO.

You have said I have insinuated the posters of TRF are liars/stooges wich is not true. Also, who is the one putting words into other people´s mouth?  Wink

Don´t take critics to Letizia personally. This is just a forum where royals are dished. This is the fun of the things. IMO

It's not fun when the tone towards posters is so extreme

I think you need to re-read your original post, the tone was way off.

No perhaps not always. I think that I've been provoked sometimes. And that's sad. IMO of course.

Leti has:

1. income from the state for representing Spain and she has the busiest schedule among crown princesses;

2. investment income from her savings prior to her marriage. Didn't she sell her apartment a couple years ago? I would imagine she invests it in something, not that there are a lot of profitable investments these days.

Her mother is a nurse. I don't know about Spain. In the U.S., nurses make a comfortable living. It's a weekend getaway. There's no report that they stay in a 5 star resort. They eat in a cheap restaurant. Why can't her mother afford a few days of lodging and food on a trip?

Exactly Laprincess, she had a well-paying job before her marriage, one that allowed her to buy a flat (and AFAIK, she's the only CPss consort who owned her house before marriage), designer clothes, Suárez jewellery and antique books. Felipe, of course, receives a salary from the state.

I'm reading the thread and this is my face  Huh?

Letizia (because noboby seemed to have a problem with Queen Sofía spending Orthodox Easter in Greece with part of the GRF, many of whom have no known employment) is not our prisoner, she can have a weekend with her mother and her daughters, she doesn't ask the state for extra money any time she wants to spend a couple of days away. The RF has never asked for more money, sometimes at the end of the year they've even returned money to the state without making any kind of announcement. And for the people so worried about the money, Portugal is cheaper than Spain.

Pepa, the information of Hola is not correct, Letizia couldn't be in Portugal on Wednesday as she was in an official event in Madrid, obviously there is no great journalism involved in the reporting of this particular piece of news, why would a Portuguese poster made up that her friend saw Letizia in a restaurant in the north of Portugal? She's not denying she was in Portugal, on the contrary, she's providing evidence that she was in Portugal, what does it matter if it was the south or the north?

thanks clara for bringing the thread back on track.  Star

how much did leti earn in her past job?

i don't care if she spends breaks in another country but can see and understand that she gets dished for taking a vacation abroad when spain is going through tough economic times. i wonder what the reason behind the trip was. did she need a break from her husband? did her mother want a break without her son in law? or was flip with them just didn't show (like their skiing trip in switzerland)?

How much of a vacation would it be if she were promoting Spanish beaches? Her children would be photographed, there'd be bikini photos printed, etc. Sounds more like a nightmare. Everyone should get a few days to themselves to recharge.

Thanks Cara.  Star
The anchor of the TVE evening news earns today around 168,000 euros per year (211,663.2 U.S. dollars) That's more than JC's salary and the prime minister's salary.

Exactly  Star , they already do the Mallorca circus in August every year.
