Jokke will not be prosecuted of course, but all the others will - how about that! I think he has every obligation to follow the laws, BECAUSE he has immunity. Can someone pls tell me why Jokke et al are all have immunity from the law? Why can they pick n chose which law appeals to them, and which it doesn't... hint: they're royal, isn't the right answer Abs and BWW G [/quote] All the royals do. Makes no sense! The best thing about Denmark is the vast coastline (7000 km - longest in Europe). So many beaches and islands, the weather has sukked big time this year though, so the ocean is cold. It is going to get better now WHEN WE ARE GOIN TO THE COAST! Tis true, I am so HAPPY!

Does the DRF have immunity in criminal prosecution only, or a civil suit as well?

The immunity thing is sick Is there any other European monarchy where all the royals - not only the monarch - have immunity? abs, which Danish royals have immunity? The royals who have succession rights, the members of the royal house, or even the extended royal family?

For sure I know that Marge, Henri, Frederik, Joachim, Mary, Marie, Benedikte, all foreign diplomats, the royal DOGS (one of Henri´s dogs bit a lot of people, a royal guard was badly bitten, and normally you put biting dogs down - by law; but in this case, it was solely up to Marge, and of course she did not have her husband´s dog killed!). Xian, Isabella will for sure have immunity, Vince and Josie too I presume. Guess Jpkke´s kids too - in fact I think all the royals have immunity (the ones with title princess or prince, quees or king). Crazy, crazy.

An EX-spouse of a royal.

I think she lost her immunity, along with her tax free status, when she married Martin.

That would make sense - and I believe you are right.

Alex still holds immunity and a diplomatic passport, because her sons are princes. It was written about and discussed in this thread. http://royaldish.com/index.php?topic=782.15

Here's a hypothetical; what if it turns out that some hypothetical prince/princess is a serial killer - loads of bodies found buried in the palace backyard - what would the Danes do? Or if someone with immunity gets really drunk run night, drives around and kills a family on the road. What then? Would there be enough outrage to get these immunities abolished? It sounds like, horrible as it is, it would take just such an incident to get the rules changed.

IIRC Richard actually discussed this very subject because he apparently finds the members of the DRF to be reckless and crazy drivers (!). He did not sound very impressed.

I think Richard seems extremely unimpressed with every aspect of the DRF. I love that guy!!

Does this immunity extend outside Denmark like diplomatic immunity?
