Nathan Adrian is going to be the next star of the US swim team what a hottie and he is lucky, won't have to compete against Phelps.

Even in Canada, I had a close encounter with an Olympian. I went for a late night dinner for work last night, my boss' birthday. Her cousins were in from England, just arrived, and one has competed for the British team in track this year.

Remember, it was Leona Lewis who was chosen to sing at Beijing closing ceremony. Of all the famous British singers Apparently Annie Lennox will sing as well

My mom has decided that she wants to go to the 2016 games in Rio. I have no idea where this came from but I just wanted to share it. Anyone else hoping to attend the Olympics in Brazil?

Re: the closing ceremony, I just heard via SF Ballet that retired Royal Ballet ballerina Darcey Bussell is coming out of retirement to dance at the closing ceremonies. Woo-hoo! For me, that would be a very BFD. Love her dancing.

Whoa. I don't pay a huge amount of attention to ballet (though I do enjoy it and have attended some Royal Ballet performances) and even I know who Darcey Bussell is. That IS a BFD.
I recall reading some news article somewhere when she retired..

Ugh...banana clip, popped collar...WTF? Mary looks ridiculous. Those sleeves don't do her arms any favors. They make her arms look fat. The popped collar looks absolutely stupid, and the banana clip is something that should only be used when one is doing housework, or lounging around the house. Yuck. Guillaume needs to do something about his skin already. He looks dorky and awkward. Tessy looks fantastic in these pics. Banana clips and turned up collars? Is Mary back in the 80s? Apparently she thinks it's 1986. Style icon, my arse. I have always been of the belief that if you lived through a style the first time it came around then you are too damn old to wear it when it comes back around 20 years later. Some may disagree with this but to me it's mutton dressed as lamb. Leave it to the young ones.
