It's strange how Margaret seemed so troubled yet both her kids turned out serene and, dare I say it by Windsor standards, normal.  Sarah and Viscount Linley both forged their own destinies and seem very content.

I admire that Princess Margaret's children, David and Sarah, have not only forged their own destinies but that they have taken bold paths of using their artistic talent.  (Lord Snowdon, of course, was very talented so those genes have helped.)

I like what I know about Margaret's grandchildren too.  It seems that her children are good parents also.

Perhaps there is the serendipity of a good nanny, suitable schools and the influence of interested grandparents and aunts/uncles?

I have to confess, Anthony Armstrong Jones looks hot in this picture:

The May 6, 1960 Wedding of Princess Margaret Rose and Antony Armstrong-Jones was the first televised royal wedding.

Princess Margaret sort of resembles Pippa in this photo.

I have a question about Margret's kids and grandkids.. So clearly David is titled and so are his kids and that title will pass onto Charles. But why do both of his kids have titles but Sarah's do not? I know she only has the title of lady which doesn't pass down (clearly considering she has boys) I'm guessing her husband chose not to opt for a title so that's why her kids do not have one (in the future)? or also because she chose for them not to?

There would have been no option for Lady Sarah's husband to have a title. The only men who marry into the royal family and offered titles are the daughters of the monarch.

I don't understand --I thought pretty much no one gets offered an hereditary peerage any more.  I don't think the question even arose regarding Mr. Chatto.  Maybe Captain Philips was offered one, but we know the answer there.

Edit:  no one except princes receiving dukedoms.

Anne and Mark didn't want royal titles and thus did not want titles for their children Peter and Zara

When Mary, Princess Royal, smiles there in the background, does anyone else see Zara?

It's a very sweet gif. Never seen it before.
