KATE and Wills are growing their own veg after hiring a gardener to help them ape Tom and Barbara in The Good Life.

Cottage garden expert Robin Parker, 47, has been set to work at their ten-bed Norfolk home Anmer Hall.

A friend of the Duchess, 34, said: ?He?s helping her become more self-sufficient. She loves cooking stuff she?s grown.

?It?s all a bit like Barbara and Tom in BBC TV comedy The Good Life.?

In the BBC comedy, Tom and wife Barbara decide to become self-sufficient by turning their suburban back garden into a farm.

So they're paying someone to grow the vegetables that they will pay someone to cook for them.  Yup, real hands-on stuff here!

So will this be another reason neither of them can work because they have to tend the garden?  Or is it William's way of saving a few more cents?  They could both get some great gardening tips from PC, you know the one who is paying for all of this!

Oh no, we're not back to that rubbish again are we, Kate the enthusiastic gardener? (Although I can quite believe she likes eating home grown vegs after someone else had done the hard work.) A few months ago wasn't Kate supposedly ready to market some produce commercially at Anmer?

What is he doing in the middle of winter in the garden? And it's typical Will and Kate because that guy's duty is also "looking after swings and climbing frames" for the kids.  Huh?

BTW did we already know that?

Last year the Sun revealed Kate had poached a new housekeeper from the Norwegian royals.

Sadie Rice, 34, left Crown Prince Haakon, his wife Mette-Marit and their kids to join Kate and William last summer.
I just cannot keep up with the staff they're adding to their various households and office. I always get distracted as soon as a new toaster is mentioned.

Will: Absolutely willingly. And as that time comes I'll be the first person to put my hand up and take it on. But [] my grandfather is so active [] and unwilling to slow down.

If she actually had a relationship with her father in law she wouldn't need to hire someone to help her. Charles is prolific in this area

That or she sits at home on Pinterest looking for ways she can make the press think she's "working from home" first it was the jams, now it's self sufficient gardening, & next month it will be "up-cycling"  old furniture & doo dads she finds in the Anmer attic.
