Thought I would swing by with the latest
news of our precious Crown prince.
If this has been posted here before I bow my
head and leave in shame... Blush

Frederik nearly hit infant with his car

It seems our Fearless Fred almost took out three people
from the same family! + a journalist + two policemen
before the wedding! According to Ekstra Bladet he was
driving too fast outside Graasten Castle with Morey and
CP Mette-Marit as passengers when he almost hit
a Billed Bladet journalist (!) and two police men.
Trying to avoid this he lost control of his car and almost
hit a grandmother, her daughter and her infant grand
daughter - named Maria - who was sitting on her mother's
arm. "What is he doing?" the grand mother exclaimed enraged,
continuing:"And he'll be 40 on Monday!"

Morey was later seen re-enacting the incident in front of the
castle, supposedly telling what happened. Billed Bladet's
journalist insist she wasn't making fun of the situation.  Huh?

The family has not received an apology from Froderick.  Angry

The police claim never to have heard of the incident.

A drink-driver for sure. What a loser.

If he killed someone on the road, be certain it would be hushed up. Australian billionaire Kerry Packer killed a pedestrian in Canberra, Australia when he was a young man. His father paid off the family.

Why can't these boys just hire drivers. Remember a few years ago when Joachim was caught speeding down the motorway at 170 km with his children in the car?

pls don't take this the wrong way, but what would the implications be if fred (or mary during her infamous speeding bouts) actually harmed or killed someone?  would it be like laura bush (and kerry packer apparently) and swept under the rug?

If something horrible ever did happen, you know it would be spinned that something was wrong with the car, breaks, steering, etc and that's what caused the accident. Not that the driver was at fault.

Yes, he's immune as far as prosecution goes, the DRF are over and above the law, so they can drive like bats out of hell, mow people down etc, end of story......and those that have maybe been run over, continue to pay taxes which go towards his upkeep!  Shocked Shocked Angry Angry

Interesting question.
I am wondering, how things would be e.g. in the following situation: Pics and video material showing a drunk CP in a bar. Later...in the morning...he would hit a child on its way to school...and it would die.
Would there be really attempts to "spin" things...or would he abdicate (giving up his rights) directly (?)

Well, it´s morbid to discuss this´actually  Crap Let´s hope Fred and lil´Danes would be lucky and nothing would happen as long as Fred would have/use his driver´s license.
Unfortunately there is no way of "measuring" the consequences of his behaviour.
If he sees it or not...he is a role model.
If the crown prince believes to have the right to speed and to ignore rules, ordinary Danish ppl might believe to have it too. Speeding and driving drunk is in some circles (men, <50y) considered as "peccadillo" or even as glorious deed.
Of course ordinary citizens get other punishments. But let´s face it...more often one would get away with it...often long enough until awful things with others involved happen.

On a lighter, but still morbid note...the guys from SOH and EB are the evil ones, Fred  Wink

Oh, I'm sure that's what it going to amount to.  With enough money, power and influence a lot of anything can be doctored!

Wasn't Morey also caught speeding at one time?  She didn't get a ticket at that time, did she?

If this is true then the DRF should be dealt with. However call me a cynic, but it seems like the story may be exaggerated a little.

I actually think Fred is out of control and Mary is at a loss as what to do with him. I really feel he has probelms.

Well, I have it from two sides, Ekstra-bladet
and Billed Bladet, the first not exactly out
to make the DRF smell like a bed of roses,
the other is eager to whitewash anything
they are doing, so if BB agrees with EB on
this story I tend to believe it...

And...I heard Saturday that Froddy had been
racing through Graasten and some people were
extremely angry with him, but I didn't know why
until now...

Well I doubt that Mette-Marit will want to get in the car again if Fred is the driver.

ITA.There was an article/blog about privatizing the royal house in one of the papers.BB was named as a potential company magazine.Their motto is to always bring positive stories about the royals so if they confirmed this, there is no reason to doubt the story. + the journalist who was nearly run over is a BB journalist,I doubt that she would exaggerate, given the fluffy stuff they like to write.

I actually think Fred is out of control and Mary is at a loss as what to do with him. I really feel he has probelms.
ITA.She's powerless and this is really ironic given that he went out of his way to emphasize how he adores her in the new book.Obviously to curb the rumours of fairy tale gone sour.

Perhaps his behaviour is a cry for help?
