Considering how expensive and defficult it is to get your hands on a Birkin bag I'm quite surprised that Mary doesn't flash her black one more often. Actually only recall seeing it once (walking the street of London, I think).

On a different note - surprised to see that this thread was started by another Lille Huh?

Maybe that was Marie-Chantal's......

She has a Birkin? Don't remember seeing that.....

Maybe it wasn't the real thing, there are a lot of really good impersonations out there and I'm not necessarily talking about cheap copies either.

Hmmm, perhaps. I know that there are some sites on the internet where you can rent designer bags - maybe that's what she did...

Thanks for the photo, Lille.

I may be wrong but I don't think that is a Birkin after all. Birkins have a large clasp at the front which makes them easily identifiable and this one doesn't appear to.

little_star, I think you are right. Perhaps Mary's is just a poor replica...

Are you sure you're not thinking of the Dutch RF?

The Danish RF is notoriously poor, most of the palaces are Government-owned. Only Trend (hunting lodge) and one of the palaces beginning with M are theirs....

They also own Caix, but that won't have a particularly high value.

I think it must be the Dutch royals they are worth billions because of the family holdings in Shell Oil.

If you scroll down a bit it looks like Mary has a beige Birkin? I'm not an expert, but it has the clasp. Do you think it is the real thing?
