Remember Jokke's kids recoiling at the wedding when Auntie Mary attempted to chat to them in such a gauche, self-conscious and awkward way? Those kids were self-assured and dealt beautifully with the Rubied Apparition - they are socially deft, well brought up and socially competent. I doubt any foreign royalty, unless cousins like Greece. Nikolai had Eddie of Wessex, but the other two boys have family and friends. I'd say at least one cousin, one or both of Marie's other brothers, and then friends. Possibly two from each side, and then one friend.

Britt is godmother to Henrik as is Mary. So I doubt we'd see either. I don't think they'll reuse godparents from Joachim's other children.

I don't see how there can be hell to pay for Mary not being godmother. Yes Marie was named for Josephine, but Mary was just repaying the favor as she is already godmother to Henrik.

I don't know about non-royal ones, but Joachim is godfather to Christian (Fred is godfather to his eldest son). He isn't godfather to either Alexandra's and I'm not sure about Nathalie's son.

I don't think Vik is close enough to Joachim. Joachim's kids have all had close family and friends, other than Nikolai having Edward. Britt is godmother to one of Joachim's children, so I don't see her being used again. If there are any royals, they will be cousins, not a random like Charlene.

Vik will have royal titles for her godparents for her child. Look at the godparents chosen for the heir of the heir. They all highly padd the godparents. Vik is godmother to three future monarchs, Christian, Amalia and IA, and of Pavlos' eldest son. If there is a Danish godparent, it will be her good friend Freckles. I have a feeling Haakon and Freckles, and maybe WA will be godfathers to her baby (or Maxima) with one or both sisters.

I think Victoria or anyone from the Nowergian royal family is unlikely. As Marie and Joachim do not seem to have a close relationship with anyone from Nowergian royal family. For example, Joachim and Marie did not attended Martha Louise's 40th birthday celebrations. Whereas there were other minor royals that did attend. Also, I have seen nothing to indicate that Joachim or Marie are friends with Victoria.

No, I think normally its sixteenm someone can correct me if wrong. And it doesn't seem common to use a sibling of the baby, even if half sibling.

Little petite bon bon isnt that far up the food chain IMO to warrant a senior member of royalty to be godparent. That doesnt mean I don't think the child is any less important than her cousins, but she is quite far down the line. I doubt senior royals will play a part.

I have feelings that it will be last child for them (I hope not cause they produced cute babies) so I would bet 2 Marie's brothers, someone from family (Nikolaos maybe , he was at  their wedding and Henrik's baptism), wife of Christian Scherfig (she was Marie's bridesmaid), maybe Caroline Flemming. Rather friends than royals. If Nikolai will get his confirmation he could be a godfather too.

I agree. Only Joachim's eldest son had any royal godparents, well except Mary for Henrik but she is his Aunt, and they were minor royals. I'd think the only royals would be cousins, either the Greeks or Berleburgs. Maybe 1 of each
