Nejla is Princess Noor's half-sister (Hamzah's first wife).

This is an old photo from Noor's wedding to Hamzah. Haya and Rym are to the left, Raiyah and Iman are in the middle, Noor's stepmother and Nejla's mother (Princess Sana) is in the middle and I think the young ladyin the blue is Nejla. The young lady on the right of the photo is Noor's sister, Sarah I think.

What is Hasmah's goal for marrying Basma? I mean already the man has a divorce under his belt. I doubt anyone, let alone his brother the king would expect him to keep marrying for political reasons. Already he married Noor apparently for that reason. What possible goal could he be after? People from Jordan at another board said that the Jordanians always wanted a Jordanian bride for one of their princes. And that the King himself had approved this union (the other girl was a rich Arab too, but not Jordanian), hoping to satisfy the people and maybe even distract them from the real problems of the region for a while. I'm not trying to convince you, that's what the people down there believe.

Hamza married basma for a reason, but apparently he was mistaken because he did not get whatever he wants from marrying basma. He does not love her at all. He was in love with an arabic girl and all of a sudden he married basma. Sad how he has to give up his love because of the CP title. Unfortunately, Basma is not the right choice for him, specially she is appearing with a horrible looks since she married him. http://petra.gov.jo/Publi...ed&utm_medium=twitterHi Life84 and welcome to RD! I have read at another board about Hamzah being in love with another girl, who actually comes from an eminent family. He was very much into her and was getting ready to marry her, as they say, but then all of a sudden we got the news about his wedding to Basmah. Which makes me wonder what has really happened in the meantime, and how come Queen Noor didn't have a say in this matter, her son's 2nd marriage that is. Is possible that he fell out of love with the other women and fell for Basma?! They seem to have a lot in common. Although, they look more like friends than a couple to me The posters, who live in the region and are in the know, have always pointed out that he was madly in love with the other Arab girl. Very much into her and was about to marry her. IMHO, you don't just fall out of love with someone you have really loved. There must be something here, and people from Jordan talk about political reasons. The only thing that truly makes sense to me is that the JRF needed a Jordanian bride this time, just to calm their citizens a bit during these hard times, and Basmah is Jordanian (though an expat). The other girl was not.

I believe all the ladies are nicely dressed, but my favourite dresses are Haya's and Iman's.

Thanks Little_star for the photo , Eugenie I'm thinkin the same as well, I don't live in Jordan but I live in the middle east, and I always hear from Jordanians that they are not happy with the fact that their royalty hardly marry any Jordanian That could be a reason, It's very sad to know that someone can't afford a romance! does anyone know where exactly is this girl from? yes she's an arab but what arab country?

I don't know which country she comes from and frankly, I don't think it matters. She's a private person after all. The main point was that this girl wasn't Jordanian, whereas Basmah is.

The other girl was not. Yeah I know. I read the same at the royal forums, just from my point of view I don't see any shadiness in him not marrying the other women and choosing to marry Basma quickly. Different points of view that's all.

The yahoo comments As a muslima I´m sick of this constant stereotype of the evil muslim man and the muslima who needs to be saved by the western world. It won´t help oppressed women!
