The Arab spring had nothing to do with being covered or not!
I don't think that Rania has ever dressed inappropriately. She always looks very elegant and modest.
If Rania feels threatened after the arab spring it is because she is married to a dictator, who rules over a poor country, where a large portion of the population resent the lavish lifestyle of the RF, compared to their own. Wearing a hijab won't make a difference in this regard.
Also, having lived in the Middle East (Levant) I can tell you that seeing women without hijab is quite common.
I know that being covered or not has nothing to do with the Arab Spring!
Anyway I noticed she changed her style after that!
But as said in my previous message I thought the way she dressed was, IMO, not very correct for a Queen of a Muslim country. She might have looked very elegant for our occidental standards, but certainly not modest.
I've never lived in a Muslim country but have spent quiet a long time there, living with traditional families in Morocco, Turkey and Tunisia, I always had my hair covered and I was dressed in a traditional way.
I'm also aware that not all women in these countries wear a hijab but lots of them have their hair covered and don't wear short skirts or jeans
I totally agree with your views concerning her husband!
I hate the fact that there are very rich and very poor Jordanians, but unfortunately this now became the case in a great part of the world.
