Bystander-ITA. If they aren't also contacting the other royal sites, then they don't have a case to stand on. That is just pure discrimination, and we shouldn't have to put up with it. If they want to solidify their argument, then their employees better start contacting TRF, the Mary board and those message boards (Scand royals, glittering events, et al). Otherwise, they need to back off.
Oh-and photo agencies, if you are reading this: go after Iceflower at TRF. She puts her own watermark on top of your pics. If that's not a copyright violation, then I don't know what is.
Also, Iceflower sometimes cuts off BEW watermark of some pictures, especially whens he doesn't want people to see the other non-flattering pictures that came from the gallery. |

I know that it is boring without pics ... but maybe it will be the best idea, that you - Thomas - deactivate the [img]-tag. And maybe it is easier for you to search through the whole database and delete these tags in all posts ... I mean - maybe it is possible to automated this with only one command like "search through database and delete every [img]" ... I don't know which possibilities you have (with the database behind Royal Dish) - but maybe it is possible for you.

Here's another site that posted the same BEW pictures I posted (they probably just copied my links). Did BEW asked them to take down the pictures? Did the idiots who contacted them also told them about other sites or only sites that speak negative about their idols? Strange. I got another request to remove photos this time from bew.com.pl. Is someone emailing these agencies, pointing them to RD?  Absolutely they are! Thomas maybe you and Maria should consider taking a Membership approved only approach to Royal Dish for a while. There has been an increased number of members lately... many of whom are sugar trolls... posting once and insulting members then they disappear. I dunno... I think it may be a good idea. The CoM still has tons of PPE and other photos on their site, yet no one bothers them. They closed the board to new members. Now, it's Membership Approved Only. So... |

Good thought, michelle j (especially, because I am a member   ) No, but seriously. I think Maria & Thomas were nice enough to welcome every person and opinion here, but if trolls start to infiltrate our board, and create problems for us....then out the door with them - - we don't need that kind of hussle. I like this board and its members toooooooooo  much to have Maria & Thomas deal with idiots and problems of this kind. Another question.  ..the photo linking, does that pertain just to PPE, or should we link photo's in general now (wherever they come from), insteat of inserting them? thank you! |

Luna, my main point is that these photo agencies, BEW & PPE, didn't scour the Internet looking for any pages that posted their watermarked photos. RoyalDish was specifically targeted by some fanatics mainly because of our beliefs, which we freely dish and in many case shatter these fanatics' fantasies of their favorite royals or royal wannabees. |

This is so totally unfair. Thomas, have you voiced your objection/concern why they are targeting us and not the other sugar boards? And really, it's not like we don't give them credit that it's their agency who took the photo! At the CoM you have to send in a request to become a member. If approved then you will be allowed to participate in discussions, post images, and other crap. Once you reach a certain level you will have access to thousands of images in their private archive. It's a goldmine of rare pictures of their god.  Bystander, you are absolutely right! |

thatīs a wrong impression imo. i donīt think itīs particulary fishy or directed against royaldish, also donīt think trolls or angry users are the reason for picture removal requests. ppe contacted several dutch blog owners one or two year ago and aggressively asked them to remove their pix. none of those use ppe pictures anymore and some of them stopped with their blogs. itīs their way to handle copyright issues and most likely they just started another round of internet watching. and i know another dutch blogger who was also contacted two weeks ago. and bew easily fits in there too. they are a partner agnecy of ppe and offer their pix. ppe prolly informed them and asked them to contact Thomas too. so the idea that this is specifically directed against royaldish is wrong imo. @Thomas and Maria: sorry to hear this, thanks for your great work and keep my fingers crossed for you. |
