Appearances can be deceiving. I don't see her as sweet or warm in this video. And remember, she knew the cameras were there so of course, she's not going to be surly or stuck-up. However, a friend of mine saw her at a club in London (she was with Haakon and Nikolai of Greece) and she just said "Hi" to Mette-Marit. Mette just stared at her coldly and gave her a look that said, "Who are YOU to talk to ME?" Approachable my ass. I've also had a similar experience when I met her last year. That's what she's REALLY like when there are no cameras around. I've NEVER liked her - that stuck-up fraud! Of all the CPs, she has the least to be stuck up about!

I met them; however, I only spent a couple of minutes with them.
I cannot say I spoke with them because I did not. It was pretty much a monologue.
This happened almost two years ago. It seems it was yesterday! Oh my, how time flies!
Anyway, I was the only person waiting in one of the so called VIP Lounges at the Miami airport.
There were only two or three persons who worked there. One of the ladies was at the self-serving bar checking that everything was fine. They had all kinds of beverages, as well as salty snacks and cookies.
She was complaining with a colleague. I found it funny since I was a royal disher (hmm....lurker
and knew what was she talking about (if I remember correctly Fred had lost in Florida few weeks before or so a gold ring and he may have been in the same lounge)
She went on like, in Spanish:
"The king of Denmark is coming..." (at this point I was thinking, er...but there is no King in Denmark...) She went on "aggg, AGAIN?! I don't care, The prince, his father, his uncle, whatever..."
I forgot what else she said because I honestly got a bit nervous with the possibility..
I don't remember what she said next.
And I was like "hmmmm.....could that be??? again?"
mmmmm..."what if?!"
I would definitely walk up to him and introduce myself.
But who knows, why would she say that, sure she was just complaining about a rumour.
That must have been it, a rumour.
I was sitting on a couch playing with my laptop. This couch was very close to the ladies room and to the self-serving bar, next to the corridor.
Like 10 minutes later, for some reason I turn around and suddenly the image of Haakon appears, walking in. Mette M. followed but I did not pay much attention to her. Even if the large room was empty he walked in as if he knew he was a not-ordinary (extraordinary is too much) human being.. very sure of himself, with a graceful poise, very tall, very straight, head held high. He definitely transmitted a regal vibe, unlike MM.
He looked so elegant and was wearing a very, very nice dark suit. Very handsome.
They turned to the right and sat on the couch further right. I started fiddling with my computer. I could not concentrate.
MM was wearing a black relaxed outfit and black flats. She went to the ladies room.
After a couple of minutes I went to grab some cookies and juice. Once I was done she went to the bar as well.
Later on, I went up to the bodyguard (one of them) and asked if I could say hello to H & MM.
He agreed. I asked if I could have a picture taken and he said "I would prefer not" Alright then, it's a no, no problem. He was nice and polite.
So we approached them together, I walked behind them. Their backs faced us since the couch faced the wall.
Haakon sat straight while MM was sort of lying on the couch with her head on his chest (I was surprised to see a princess in that position).
His arm was around her (was not she afraid to fly? Maybe he was also comforting her before the long flight back home).
They looked very nice together, like there is true love between them. It was nice to get to see them in a different situation, something more
personal, so to say, without witnesses, just me. He seemed very much in love with her.
So the bodyguard interrupts and they stand up immediately.
I felt a bit uncomfortable for interrupting their privacy but I had to take advantage of the opportunity to say hello.
I just introduced myself (like they care anyway) We shook hands, I told them my name, where I was from and that I just wanted to say hello blablabla...
MM was nodding -her head a lot (all the time) and smiling a lot and saying "oh, ah, hehe" nodding and giggling while I talked. I found that behavior.. a bit over the top, but she seemed warm and receptive. Haakon was not smiling, not so serious, just neutral, listening politely but aloof of course.
So that was pretty much it. It was not really a two way communication. So I just finished my intro, thanked them and said goodbye.
I went back to my couch for a few more minutes and left after a while since I had to catch my flight. Many bodyguards and some police outside the Lounge.
So, that's my story.
It was just me in there (as a customer) which was pretty rare. Maybe few minutes after I walked in the access was closed because the entrance to the Lounge was pretty guarded and I don't think they were letting people in.
What can I say? I know these people are just like me, but there is a whole aura built around them and I could not help feeling excited
I sensed that regal aura from Haakon, not from MM. She seemed like the scandinavian girl next door and her behavior and body language did not help BUT she was nicer. I am 1.68m and was wearing flats too. I think she was about 10 cms taller, more or less, and Haakon a bit taller than her.
I was surprised they did not say a word. What is funny is that even if I have light brown hair, in some pictures I look like MM. My brother looks a bit like Haakon and when I see pictures of Ingrid, she looks a lot like me when I was her age.
I was nervous and happy. You don't meet a future king and queen every day.
