I find it strange that Edwin would be upset that the police wanted to discuss the threat with him after he told it to his friend and then his friend reported it to the police. Reporting a threat from any terrorist group is the responsible thing to do and of course the police would want to investigate it.

You misunderstood my "reporting it", it was a bad choice of word in that context, I meant reporting to the press, not the police
