I see what you're saying YY, but at the same time, Daisy could take Isabella and even Xtian out without Mary being around, and you NEVER see that. In fact, we've hardly seen her out with Nikolai and Felix unless it's for some special event...you see Henrik taking them out, but I've never seen Daisy one on one with any of her grandchildren. Of course, I don't know for certain, but I would think if she had been out with them, some photographer would have snapped a picture or two. You see Queen Sophia out with her grandchildren, definitely Bea has been seen with her's and I believe I've even seen pics of Queen Sonia but I've never seen any with Daisy. I find that odd, especially now that they are all older except for baby Henrik...maybe if she had a cold heart as a mother, she does as a grandmother too which is sad. It's not like she works a lot of hours...

Maybe Maxima developed a fondness for JCrew when she lived in NYC. No surprise she picked something with a bit of bling!

I saw Fred up close when Margerethe left Sweden. He was standing on Dannebrogen while she left for her car. He looked SO hungover, hahaha. The others seemed to be in great shape. I had my son (3 months) in my arms and especially Henri seemed fond of kids and waived directly to him. I didn't expect that.

for your upclose and personal account Cess, which contradicts the Danish press's assessment of Frederick as being "fresh" the morning after! (And I hope you were holding on tight to your son - he must be just about snack-sized for the Dame j/k )

Now were Cess holding a juicy 3-months old wiener dog in her arms... Danger...

ROFL!
Even though I think you guys are hilarious, my impression of Henri was that he was really sweet!

I actually think he seems sweet too Cess, esp. with young children - he seems to have a lovely, warm relationship with his grandchildren. I'm glad he left a positive impression on you, I'm sure your son will be very chuffed when you tell him this story when he's a little bit older

I also think between Henry and Daisy, Henry is the more warm-hearted, down to earth person. I never like Daisy. I've always thought she is cold, aloof and full of herself. She seemed so hanged up with the old-school royalty where everything is image and pomp and pagentry. I guess that's what you get growing up all pampered and being brain-washed how wonderful you are and you are to inherit a wonderful monarchy. But sheesh - even QE II has shown some warmth.
