Yes, she probably should have been, since she clearly outranks MM. Maybe that's why she looks annoyed? On the empty chair next to Sonja the Mayor of Oslo was sitting, he is the host as the event was in Oslo City Hall, guess that is why she is sitting next to him http://img197.imagevenue....cd0c21a32d_b_122_59lo.jpg

Well, the hairdresser's clip she's got stuck on top of her head detracts just a bit from the overall seriousness of her outfit.
Maybe but so what? She's got a big clip in her hair. Nobody comments on what William Hague is wearing. It reminds me of when Hina Rabbani Khar addressed the UN for the first time and people criticised her because she didn't wear a green and white shalwar kameez. I mean WTF?! I don't see comments about male politicians and their wardrobe standards, the double standards make me so angry. ...and breathe. Sorry for ranting at you, Chris.

she doesn't care I think this was EPIC ITA. Good for her for not giving a flying F You C K about what anyone else thinks. This is why I love HC so much. She is a woman in a very very male dominated arena where many claim she does not belong because of the fact she was born with a vagina, yet she ignores it all and kicks ass and takes names. Good for her. She gets criticized for her appearance and wardrobe all the time, but I don't see many people criticizing her husband's appearance or wardrobe. As a woman, it pisses me off. I've had it suggested to me numerous times to try and lose my little stomach roll, but does Mr Paperbird get told that despite his being worse? Nope! It's always women being critiqued for their looks and held to higher standards.

I agree with you about the double standard that's applied to male and female public figures. I really don't think news commentators should criticize ANYONE'S wardrobe or appearance if it's appropriate for the occasion, particularly political figures. And I have no problem with Hillary's clothing in those pictures. But I still think the hair clip is the equivalent of a male politician going out in public with his toothbrush stuck behind his ear. It's just jarring and unprofessional. I forgive you your rant. If I have to be ranted at, you're welcome to do it anytime.

Sonja lower than MM? MM got a problem It's usually the princess who are the most popular TBH many people like the princesses for their beauty and fashion - regardless of their other characteristics. Personally, I think Harald and Haakon deserve the top spot.

I agree My, it's much more important that the heir is liked and respected for his work than that the princess is admired for the fleeting "glamour"

A couple of times before when similar polls have been published the NRF has commented that these kind of results are part and parcel of their whole PR strategy. The King is to be centre in the image building and most active, and the heir to follow him in activity level.

Does anyone want to buy something? This is MM's stuff: Blazer from Marni, 2500 krone. Isabel Marant dress, 1200 krone. Paul & Joe top, 1200 krone. Day Birger et Mikkelsen top, 900 krone. Miu-Miu(crocodile?) handbag, 4500 krone. Gucci floral pumps, 2200 krone. Prada peeptoe-pumps, 2200 krone Marc Jacobs ballerinas, 1000 krone Edmund Castillo shoes, 1900 krone. From what I understand from Google translate, she's selling for a green charity of which Ingrid is a patron, to "re-use" old clothes.

Tonight at the opening of the exhibition "Landskap og rom", presenting Her Majesty's private collection, and the presentation of the Queen Sonja Nordic Art Award, Henie Onstad Art Centr. There are sweet pictures of the family members greeting each other Everybody is in a good mood But what are the younger royal ladies wearing?? MMs clothes make her look old and ML pregnant - and her shoes In one picture MM is looking curiously at MLs shoes, and also King and Queen seem to take a closer look at their daugter/in law's clothes.
