Could your reading of Maurits just mean he knows he is seen as attractive, even hot, and he acts like that? Nothing less nothing more? Then your reading of Maxima would fit too, she was a partygirl (meaning: she enjoyed her drink and cigarette). Drugs never have been mentioned. Your reading of Willem-Alexander is quite accurate.

Are the circumstances the pictures were taken under also important? I can see queen Beatrix have that attitude (I am higher than you) with the press, but not with people. The Queensday incident and memorial showed that. Also the Bijlmerramp and the Vuurwerkramp at Enschede (those tragedies cost a lot of human lives). At both times she was pictured quite shaken when she visited the scene.

i am very surprised by what i saw about maxima, i still am very surprised, it doesnt seem consistent with the images of her that flash across this board, e.g, the happy mother, the diplomat, the sweet and supportive wife, but, that is what i saw, am i right? am I wrong? it would be great to get some facts that correspond, but we dont have them at the moment, but it has never happened that i have been wrong except where the eyes have been blurry or distant from the shot, and maximas eyes were very clear and very close to the shot
