Last year I wanted to post this thread but I didn't get around to it and that annoyed me the rest of the year. I thought it could be interesting to keep a track record of how many vacations they have during a year. So I suggest that every time they go abroad for vacation purpose we write where to and for how long in this thread. That way we'll have some interesting documentation in the end of the year. I hope this'll work and that you're up for the game. Let's call it research! /Harl

And the first vacation has started as of today! Maternity and paternity leave at their best.

Actually doesn't Fred have several engagements?

I think his engagements "dissapeared" from the Danish Calendar two days ago.

Indeed, I think they're all history now. Don't see why he couldn't make the brief appointments with al the help QB and Freddles have, but that seems to be the case.

It's doubtful that there'll be any more family holiday invitations from rich friends with large Mediterranean yachts.
It's now Fred & Mosh plus 4 children and at least 3 nannies - a party of minimum 9. Plus the usual security contngent. Fred & Mosh aren't special enough to offset that inconvenience.

It will be Fred And Mosh taken the luxury holiday's abroad with out the kid's, they will need the break, rearing, cooking , cleaning, washing, making school lunchs, ironing and changing bed clothes, nappies and making bottles take's it out of of ya. The kid's will be holidaying at home, with a press release saying that Fred and Mosh believe in promoting tourism at home

F&M ar happy to take holidays without the kids (Verbier, St Tropez) so IMO the extra children will not change that.

I am wondering though with more kids if Fred and Mary will start taking more solo vacations or just take the oldest two? When they go to Verbier they usually stay not even a week. Is it work it to gather up 4 kids for a shorter period of time? I believe Jock though when he says the family is coming later in the year to Australia. I am probably wrong, but I have this feeling that Mary will take herself and her kids and spend Christmas 2011 in Australia and the court will use the excuse that Maxima has done this before. Marg's feelings on the matter will not matter.

Those Verbier vacation pics with the kids are always miserable looking. I don't know what it is, but those pics always depress the hell out of me. The kids always look miserable and uncomfortable. Just imagine how much worse it will get once the twins are old enough to go to Verbier with them I doubt they'll make that trip this year (at least not in February). I could see them doing something in late March, but without the kids. Or maybe with just the twins so that Mary can get attention for nursing (just like they did with Isabella in New York) and can make stupid "early baby up" comments.

Every other family of six I would advice the parents to do some solo vacations, simply because couple time happens rarer than christmas in July. This family however is quite different. I don't mean to say they enjoy more couple time, since they clearly don't... enjoy the couple time that is. But they have more time at hand, more possibilities to have time away from the kids with that army of nannies and staff they have...
Personally I think Waxmax or the others do it right: they rent a villa (or wheedle one out of their wealthy friends) and stay there for some time for family time, bathing, skiing or else. I never got the Yacht-fun. I would be terrified every single second that a child goes overboard. And what on earth can a child, a toddler do there? Little ones love to play with sand, mud and pails of water, the extraordinary expensive and luxurious interior of those ships is the antithesis to a fun family vacation....

In contrast, it's nice that Jokke's kids always seem to be laughing themselves silly - on the snow, drinking soft drinks in France, larking around with their dad. I think Jokke tries hard to be a good father to his boys and the success shows in their happy faces. Thre must be extreme tension between Fred & Mary on holiday - the kids look miserable everywhere they go, not just Verbier.
