Quote
Kate is paranoid about wrinkles and going grey and worries about lines on her face and bags under her eyes as the gruelling royal schedule begins to take its toll.

This is insulting to 99.99% of the world's population.  There are children in poorer countries that have a more gruelling schedule.  The fly that got trapped in my house has a more gruelling schedule.

laboheme,
You kill me sometimes.  Laugh bounce  Star  Laugh bounce

Star  It's the truth though.  I was chasing this fly, trying to get it out of my house without killing it, and the bugger was working trying to get away from me.  Waity could never.

This is most likely pure bilge but it is entertaining nonetheless.  Apparently Kate is refusing to abide by the new curtsey rules and Camilla is peeved off big time!

I am excited for the Olympics as I think we will have more "real" news about Wills & Kate.

Nonsense. Camilla is ranked higher than Kate. So, Kate must curtsey to Camilla. I don't think Kate is that stupid not too obey the rules.

Kate has always had to curtsey to Camilla.  The new change only means if Will is not around she'll also have to curtsey to Eug and Bea (born royals).  I think the Queen really wants to keep the born-royals happy, and make sure Kate knows she's not above the other women.

Which is not a bad idea, if Waity is as snotty to the Yorkies as she is rumored to be, imo. Angry

I think Kate probably does have issue with with all this curtsy business, but it's not with Camilla. I'll bet it's with the Yorks. I hope one day we will see Waity curtsy to the two princessesI didn't know about any feud until recently but I'll bet it went something like this: Kate and Pippa vs. Bea and Eugenie.

The over-baked Wisteria sisters bully the Yorks around in an effort to make themselves feel superior, which apparently they do but haven't yet realized that they are not.The York sisters, 7-8 years younger than  orange 1 and orange 2, cry in the bathrooms while K&P gloat outside on the dancefloor.

BWilly does not put a stop to Waity's nastiness and Bea and Eug leave the club in tears. Waity and Pippa party until the club closes, giving the paps yet one more crotch shot for the road.
And now Waity and all her waityness must curtsy to Bea and EUG!!!!
There is a God!!

Great post as usual Emma Rose. ICAM!  Thumb up Yes

I also think Waity takes her cues from Prince Charles and William. She sees them give short shrift to Andrew and his daughters and feels free to do the same... or at least FELT FREE until she was ever so gently put in her place by the Queen.

She might have to swallow her resentment for now, but wait till HM is off the scene. Beatrice and Eugenie are going to be roadkill in Royal circles, I'm afraid.  Sad

The best thing they can do is get a career going and marry someone fiercely devoted (if they want marriage).
They should plan for a life outside the RF, JMO.

Hi KH! Nice to see you!

I agree. For some reason the Yorkies have grown on me recently especially after I have been able to separate them from their parents. Harry appears close to both girls so maybe he will be able to back them if Kate tries to pull any shenanigans.

OMG this woman is a 30 year-old lady (She is a Duchess for goodness sake), she is behaving like a high school drama queen. She should know better. I can't believe people who like her say things like: oh give her time blablabla. She had a decade to prepare, she wanted to be standing next to the BRF in events so bad for a decade. Get up Wills and say something, she sucked the life out of you and left no nutrients for your hair to grow just wake up.

Normal people get a month to figure out the core tasks of even the most challenging new job, and are expected to learn the rest over the next half a year by constantly expanding their duties. Even if we consider Kate's job a really tricky one, she should have it down pat within a year.

Flipping burgers at McDonald's is more challenging.

Were were ordered told by Waity fans to give her a year to settle in.  That her job - of smiling and cutting ribbons - was a particularly complex and brain straining one and that she needed at least 12 months to figure out which end of the scissors she needed to hold.

Ok, by my maths, we're over the 12 month mark.  Well and truly.  And..... she's still utterly useless.

In her most recent appearance, she nearly flashed the royal coocah getting out of the car AND she wore a necklace, the worth of whcih, is a multiple of the average Briton's salary.  Previously, she gurned at Wimbledon.

Yep, she's a star alright.  If she were working in my law firm, I'd extend her probation and send her down to the mail room.

I do remember Diana said she didn't have much help in adjusting to her new duties.  She also said she knew she had to sink or swim and she swam.  I feel like WAITY is still in the kiddie pool wearing floaties around her arms.  She's not interested in graduating to the big people's pool or learning to swim. She's just happy WAITING.

For all the schooling they each had or didn't have, Diana was much smarter/quicker when it came to dealing with people.  I'm sure the technical name is something quite different but Diana had a very hi social IQ. Kate--not so much.  Turns out Kate did have a job for 1O years--practicing WAITING.  WAITY seems to have gotten WAITING down pat.

Diana had emotional intelligence.  She did not appear to be academically gifted but she had a je ne sais quoi with people that resonated.

Waity does not appear academically gifted and, given she spent her twenties washing Willie's smalls, I'm guessing her ability to conduct a lucid conversation on anything bar washing knickers is somewhat limited.

FTS,
The mailroom would be too strenuous for Waity, she would need lots of naps between sorting letters.

ETA: Bar washing knickers!  Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing  Star Champagne

Princess Tia,
Good point! Diana was troubled on some level, but she was exceptional at connecting with people she barely knew or never knew at all, she had a gift in that area and it worked for her in her position as the Princess of Wales.

Kate is gifted at doing stuff with her hair, dieting, spending money, and waiting - gifts that can not be shared with others in a meaningful way.  No  I am still puzzled how sharing these gifts with William actually benefits him. He may be one of those "warm body" guys, they don't want a full partner just a warm body nearby, so that they don't feel alone in the world.  Confused

She can gossip with the best of them, see Wimbledon. I don't doubt she started out smart, but she never really seems to have grown beyond a mental teenage level. She behaves like she's 20 at best, not 30. And what's cute at that age is embarrassing at her current level, and it's going to get worse. She stagnates because she's never actually been made to push her boundaries. All she did was chase after Prince Charming, shop, party and hang out with friends. Sorry, but responsible adult behaviour looks different, and she's never learned it.  Thumb down

Thanks Free Star!  That's the phrase I was searching for emotional intelligence, really appreciate the help.  Like the French thing, too. Smiley

Thank you, also, Clover Star!

Star for you, too, Chriss good post.
