Were were ordered told by Waity fans to give her a year to settle in.  That her job - of smiling and cutting ribbons - was a particularly complex and brain straining one and that she needed at least 12 months to figure out which end of the scissors she needed to hold.

Ok, by my maths, we're over the 12 month mark.  Well and truly.  And..... she's still utterly useless.

In her most recent appearance, she nearly flashed the royal coocah getting out of the car AND she wore a necklace, the worth of whcih, is a multiple of the average Briton's salary.  Previously, she gurned at Wimbledon.

Yep, she's a star alright.  If she were working in my law firm, I'd extend her probation and send her down to the mail room.

I just hope the RF know she's being the weakest link and someone should tell her goodbye. Where is Anne Robinson when you need her.

She's going to be "Kate Middleton" for the rest of her life isn't she...even after she eventually becomes Princess of Wales and later Queen of England??  Sad

Sad...even Diana Spencer became "Princess Diana" to people after her wedding.  Thinking

I hope Willy is in London with her. I'd hate to think that she left her hubby in Wales to cook and clean for himself after a long day at work while she does some pre-Olympics shopping. Surely there are shops in Anglesley to keep her busy for the next few days.

But I still remember people calling her Lady Di too after she was married. Still I do think that the name Kate Middleton is going to be around for a long time.

This tickles me so. Karma. Even her 2nd husband, The Dailymail, doesn't call her Duchess.

Well whenever I say the Duchess of Cambridge people are like "WHO?" They don't even know Catherine. Somehow Kate Middleton just stuck

Hmmmmm, "Reader Comments are currently unavailable" on the DailyMail article.

We should write a group letter to the school and advise them it is best to totally disassociate themselves from Kate since she is such a poor role model.

Bother, I was about to look up the DM comments.  I had managed to open the link about half an hour ago and hadn't read the article yet (was busy catching up with my daily dose of RD, lol!)

I have only the "latest comments" but they're bad enough in themselves.  Would have liked to go the top 20 best rated comments.  Oh well, there will be another chance, next time she does something ridiculous.  Which won;t take long, since I reckon there is stuff to comment on at 9 out of 10 appearances.

RD admins recently reminded us not to paste reader comments from places such as DM.  But I'm wondering if there is some way we could post small selections of them, so that the value of them isn't lost when the DM censors them (I'm guessing) after a phone call from Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.

Good news!  The comments for this DM article are back up.  I can't help thinking it was quite a coincidence that they had a server outage or something affecting only a handful of articles for exactly the number of days it takes for most people to forget about it.  But not us RoyalDishers! We are on the ball.

There's only 39 comments there at the moment, but they are GOOD.  Very cutting.  My personal favourite:

Did Kate ever legally change her last name? (Here in the US you have to fill out loads of paper work to do that). I mean the British press adopted Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole (their husband's surnames) easily enough.  The problem with Kate is she is "Kate, Duchess of Cambridge" but when they don't use the DoC what is her name?  Catherine Wales?  Catherine Windsor?

Royal titles are complicated enough without the palace clarifying her "official" and/or "legal" name other than "call her Catherine not Kate"  Although, maybe she does sign her taxes "Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge" and has no legal surname anymore.... but that seems wrong.

She doesn't have a surname. "Duchess of Cambridge" is it. William and Harry might use Wales for their military service, but that's technically not their surname either.

She isn't even technically "Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge", because that's the style for a divorced wife. She's HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, but it's unusual nowadays for people to not use a woman's name.

There's the whole Windsor or Mountbatten-Windsor thing but Willy has a title that takes precedence, so neither Windsor or Mountbatten-Windsor are Will or Kate's legal surname.

Are we confused? I'm confused. Crazy
