you have to say that compared to her daywear she does have a nice taste in eveningwear

Agreed if only she could find better choices for her daytime events.

I wish they were more photos the cut of the dress is very flattering to Maxima It's the Trinny and Susannah rule- don't wear big clothes when you feel big

I really like Maxima I just can not understand why her day clothes are not as good as eveningwear could she have a stylist for one and not another

I liked Silvia's outfit, very nice colours and nice cut. I also liked Bene's top, but why she paired it with a white skirt is beyond me. Could be of course my computer, but from where I sit, the top is dark (brown? charcoal?) with beige and the skirt is way too light. It should have the colour of the stripes, IMO dark or at least the same beige.
Maxima? Well she looked like Mrs Danvers going overboard with costume jewellery. That black dress is horrid, not elegant. She doesn't have the figure to pull of a slim black dress like that a la Wallis.
Interesting that it was Maxima, that attended this event with Silvia and Bene, and not the QueenBee.

What I did not notice is the plastic belt, that dress looks like a scuba diving suit for fat people.  Blink

I believe that she attended because Maxima is the Scouting Representative for the Netherlands. I believe that she took on the role when Prince Bernhard passed away.
