Ariane and her sister's methinks will be hearing a lot about them in the years to come.I would love to see an Ariane Christian marriage just to see Max one up 'The Icon'.

Now for the first time I think I can give something to this wonderful board:
AFAIK they chose this early date to satisfy the media and keep the paparazzi's away from the real first schoolday, so that the other children and familys  are not disturbed by the ROYAL among them.

yes but what's the point in joining a class that begun months ago? I mean all the classmates are well ahead of her, aren't they? or it is just a photo op, and see you all in September? Huh?

Thinking Well could be that the rest of the class needs the extra time to prepare for the royal presence?
You know work on their curtseys and bows and on the indirect speech.
And of course the other parents have to be prepared too:
Do not under no circumstances cringe when you see His Royal Highness dig for bogeys and do not act smart and offer a hanky.
If you meet Maxima in the "powder room" do not offer a comb or a brush and do not commit high treason by suggesting her skirt might have hiked up (chances are it was meant to be so short).

Preparations like this are of the utmost importance after AI had to intervene on behalf of a young boy (elder brother of a pupil) who poked a finger into HM coiffeur wanting to find out once and for all if it was a helmet or not. Only when international protest began to boil really high was the sentence for high treason (public flogging) reduced to the typical dutch cheese stoning.
If you want to know what happened to the boy? It is the one in Winx signature, the one that after offering flowers to the RF was stampeded down by a charging Maxima....

in some countries, it's not uncommon for children to start their first class around spring/easter. the girl is just 4, she didn't miss any "serious" class.

Sorry for the daly answer!!

Here it is:

ALL kids in NL start school a day after their 4th birthday!!
It has to do with age and not when the school starts, from the age from 4 to 5 is not obligatory but every child is expected to start a 4. From the age of 5 it is by law to attend school. This way new children feel more easy when beginning school and teachers don't have a whole group of snotty kids screaming for mama or papa.

Thank you winx. Considering that this is a pre-school level it then the teachers can see where each child is at and then fit them into the right group. (ie: learning letters, learning letter sounds etc....)

The girls are cute. I think C-A and Ariane look like Wax/Bee, and Alexia looks like Max.

Ariane is a doll.   Say what you will about Maxima's style, but in my opinion, she seems to be a great (and loving) mother.

Certainly the 3 little Dutch princesses seem happy and always look comfortable/cuddly with their parents. As do Leonora & Sofia, I-A & Sverre Magnus. I'm afraid the same can't be said of X & Izzy...
