I swear my bladder was in training this week because EVERY MORNING I have awoken at 4.30 on the dot for a bathroom run.  THIS NEVER HAPPENS.

I am 6 behind London so hoping to wake up (no problem, bladder has me covered) and watch from unloading of folks from cars and see her and him waving from their respective autos en route.  Currently have a Sky torrent running though I can only imagine everything blowing up tomorrow.

I work for a global media firm so the powers that be have already reserved the flex space from 10-2 for live wedding coverage and replay on the nice flat screens for whomever wants to watch at any given time.  Good to know in case I miss anything.

I thought the whole event was lovely. Princess Grace is smiling from heaven, the dress was a nod to her sense of style. I loved the body language between William and Kate. Carole Middleton's dress was perfect as well. I have to admit she got it right.   A friend of my daughter who lives in England wrote last night on facebook that if felt like Christmas. No one can outdo the British on pageantry.

Hello all, I am new to this board but have read some before and think you are doing well  Thumb up
I saw bits from the wedding, since I am not really a royalist and merely think they dont work for the money and that we should stop supporting those that only take and that they could earn their own living easily, and not be a burden to the taxpayers. But when thats said, I think that this wedding is one of the most simplest I have ever witnessed.I think that even the scandinavians done better than this(Im swedish/danish and were highly irritated on "mosh" and co), but at least they did it with more pomp and glamour than this wedding. Sorry to not agree with you, but I dont find the dress anything special. its nice for a middle class wedding, but I dont think it suits a royal wedding, not anything with it at all. Not the ring either. So I was disapointed to see how simple and middle class it was. Even the other royals done much better than that.
Another thing, hair down in westminster Abbey, come on, it doesnt suit the event either. Everything that should be special and glamourous was destroyed by the simple middleclass look of it, I think.
Another thing, the bridesmaid and brides mother went in white. The mother in very light greyish almost whitish and the bridesmaid in white,it was the same color as the dress. After what I have been tought that is a big mistake and to avoid at all cost. Show tackiness again?
Im kinda disapointed by it all. royalist or not.

Hello and thank you all of you!  Smiley   I just watched when they arrived to leave by aircraft to their secret destination, when they come walking down the street, and first I thought she was looking okay and neat, until I saw her from the back, the skirts way too short for a princess and flaunts it in front of ALL the public, for everyone to see, on and on again as well online. Over the knees for a princess is not suitable I think. Another sign that she doesnt have the grip of it. I can just hope shell learn. I dont think Ive seen Diana in shorter skirt than the knees?  I saw the pic-the one and only, cant find any else of it,anybody?- of the evening dress, well, its nice, its okay, but it looks kinda like a cup cake... a cream cake..  I would think that she wouldve gone for something more elegant and sofisticated, classy for that event.. another disapointment..  Pippaīs evening gown looks exactly like the other one during the day. To me that is lack of creativity. But I do like the color though, even though I think its too tight to fit the event,as the other(for not talk about the color  Whistle ) But the design of it is more like any party than a royal wedding dinner. Too loose, too tacky, doesnt fit the event.  All of their clothes are nice but in another setting. Again, signs they dont have a grip of it.   Another thing, Kateīs mothers eyes look very strange to me, I hope I dont upset anybody but the ppl I have known in my life, that have had those kind of eyes have been quite false. And its not the shape, its whats reflected from them. I do hope its not the case with Kateīs mother.
Yes, it was way too middle class wedding. What a disapointment. I dont think they can hide over the fact to try to combine new and old, if thats the intent, theyve done a really bad job.
You know, when Kate and Will came out to get the aircraft, I dont even think they looked "in love" or even loving towards eachother. I didnt see it in church either. And queen mother looks like a robot in her eyes, and Filip too, even though I liked the yellow color at queen mothers dress.

i agree with you, i was really underwhelmed especially by her ensemble. her hair bothered me a lot and the veil too. this event didn't have the grand feeling like others. i never got a good vibe from the middletons either  Dead waity is kind of like mosh for me.
anyway i'm hoping the media will go back to normal because i'm still seeing a lot of [post]wedding coverage and i'm so over it  Dead

On the surface, things went fine, but I noticed the following things:

*The smirk on Kate's face when she was listening to the Vicar recite "for richer or poorer"
*Each time Kate looked at Harry, he smiled, but the rest of the time, he looked like he was about to cry; he lowered his face a couple times and swallowed hard, looking at the ceiling almost in supplication
*At the time when they were supposed to confess any reasons that they should not be married, I had the thought that there is something, something that is going ot come out at some point
*Each time Kate began to smile smugly, she suppressed it immediately in her eagerness to seem virtuous and demure; when she was standing waiting for the march to begin, she kept almost smiling widely, and then suppressing it
*Her idiot brother recited the virtues and important things for a Christian to not do, all of which Kate is guilty as sin of ironically
*How Kate kept looking at the cameras and even rolled her eyes at one point during the vows
*When sitting back down, her brother took the program (this was after the signing of the register I think) and put it under his butt to sit on, instead of keeping it in his hands
*Princess Anne looking really, really contemplative when she was talking to her husband
*Zara sneaking a bit of gum into her mouth while sitting with Mike
*When Kate got to the altar, Prince Andrew looked as if he were seeing some dream dashed
*William repeated the vows quickly, as if he were trying not to laugh or cry; he smiled a little at Kate, but it was more as if he were trying not to blow up at her at the altar; I I think he was on the verge of crying
*Her brother looked like a pompous ass of a man and tacky in his suit; he looked like he was going to prom
*When walking down the aisle, Kate was center while her father was off to the side, like a good little doormat
*When the Vicar asked "Who giveth away this woman?" Michael didn't respond "I do" as he should have; it makes me wonder if Carole ripped out his voicebox
*Camilla looked like she was in a huge amount of emotional pain herself and as if she and Charles were doing the dirty work on behalf of HM when they went to witness the signing of the marriage license
*The princesses looked like they were there under duress and I am frankly glad that they didn't wear anything too conventional
*The faces in the audience weren't happy ones, there were a lot there that looked concerned, as if wondering where someone was; there was no uniform goodwill and no real interest in 'the moment' as if they were there, stuffed into suits and dresses, and shipped in to sing the songs and suchlike
*There was little to know sense of community and anticipation; the press fawned over how William drove his own car, but it's not like it was the same as if he were in a carriage or anything really regal
*Westminster looked rather desecrated from the appearance of all the greenery and the trees/flowering actually created a chintzy contrast to the ornate stateliness of the chapel; if the greenery had been in a side chapel, then it would have likely been better, but contrasted with the gold and blues and the grey stone, it looked chintzy
*During the song "God Save The Queen" HM stood silently as if a dream had just dissolved before her eyes; I am sure that she couldn't really sing along, but she looked like she was at a particularly unpleasant engagement
*The whole RF looked like they were at an unpleasant engagement that they either had hoped to cancel or preferably get over with as soon as possible
*When the press were talking about his colleagues in the SAR, I kind of smirked when they were speculating about continuing to work since knowing what I know now, it ain't gonna happen
*At a few moments during the ceremony, HM didn't even sing with the congregation, but instead just looked down with her hat hiding her face; not good, not good at all since that is usually the royal way of hiding tears
*I noticed that after Kate looked at Harry playfully a few times and squirmed giddily, William said something and she suddenly stopped looking at Harry and looked straight ahead, finally getting it together; she was acting like the three had been buddies since forever and that this was some final culmination of their childhood chumminess
*William looked like he was bursting to say something or yell/cry/announce his refusal, but was keeping it in
*No one in the RF looked unanimously happy

Such a pity that bedroom gymnastics isn't an Olympic event; Kate would have been a gold medalist of several years standing.
