whenever i see women wearing high heels and/or high wedges, i think it looks utterly ridiculous and figure at some point they'll get in an accident or something awful. funny, when i saw m&f' wedding photo on either hello or one of those magazines i really thought she looked plain and ugly. the hair was awful and too severe. i don't know who gave her that idea. plus, the dress was very plain and not attractive. even a friend of mine who was a fashion designer said that she was not an attractive bride! her pursed lips in that one pic. made her look very prissy, uptight and haughty on her first day as a princess -- a foretelling of what was to come!!!!

She looks strangely prissy and tentative. I think she is trying to look delicate and muscle-less. Is this a new "Mary equivalent to Diana alone at the Taj Mahal, looking vulnerable" ? What on Earth happened to "sporty Mary"?

Thank you for these pics pocahontas and hanzo , I have never seen them before. Was she wishing herself good luck then? I will never understand why in the world Mary chose that horrible severe hairstyle for her wedding day. It doesn't suit her in the least. She looks like a muppet with her mouth pursed like that. The ugly dress and hair is just because she has bad taste.

Thanks for the photo Pradas Devil Where were her bodyguards? a) Running behind her; b) riding beside her on bikes; or c) sitting in a car somewhere further away, sipping coffee and assuring themselves they will get there fast enough if something happens? Skinny pants and wedges. Hmmm... just like Kate. She wouldn't have worn this combo 2 years ago. Before Kate, Mary wore stilettos almost all the time. And for bike riding, she probably would've worn trainers or flats. The wedges are due to Kate. When was this photo taken? I think she is just trying to be like the other Copenhagen women who dresses nice and like to take the bike to work and doing errands. She once said in an interview (pre-princess time I think) that when she came to Denmark she was happily surprised to see danish women in nice outfits and heels riding their bikes. That they looked good even when they were on their bikes.

"Sporty" Mary didn't fit with the princess image that Mary had in her head. She thought princesses were supposed to be very fair with delicate features and glamorous. Hence the intensive skin whitening, the extreme weight loss, and the obsession with designer clothes. All superficial, but that coupled with Mary's enduring desire for celebrity turned her into a caricature of a princess -- and the biggest reality star in Denmark, as someone on RD recently stated. IMO she's barely royal. Her behavior lacks dignity.

I wonder if, like Kate, the comments and behaviour before the wedding ring is on the finger, is markedly different to that afterwards. A bit like one is on best behaviour at a job interview and for the first while, then later on it changes.
