I was thinking of the possibility that in the Netherlands they children may have to inherit a part of the state of the deceased parent.

Normally, an inheritence is divided over all the children
But by fat the biggest chunk of the Oranje fortune belonged to Queen Juliana (R.I.P.) There was talk in the yellow press that Juliana
wisely added a clausule in her will that her fortune will be divided among her own daughters only.
Bernhard's "bastard" children will only share in Bernhard's personal fortune, which isn't much.
And then only if a DNA Test (which the Oranjes will refuse) prooves that she is indeed Bernhard's daughter.

thank you Earl Grey

Although I don't understand how Bernhard daughters could inherit from Juliana unless she had died first and given something to her husband

Also none of B's daughters has tried to prove the parentage? because the RF cannot stop that  Thinking

I wonder if the RF actually can stop it - surely to prove she's Bernhart's daughter, there would need to be a DNA sample taken from one of his known living relatives to compare the DNA to. Seeing as the potential sister is not a minor, and therefore child support is not involved, I'm wondering on what grounds would one of Bernhart's relatives be compelled to provide a DNA sample? (If that makes sense?  Blush)

Just having the security of who your father is and that it is recognised legally is reason enough.

Of course the possible sisters do not have to agree on having a DNA test but if there are enough proofs the parentage could be recognised anyway. Although I don't know anything about dutch law so it could be very different.  Smiley

Juliana did die first, in april 2004, her husband in December of the same year.

Juliana and Bernhart would both have had personal fortunes. Juliana's money would have gone to her four daughters, not the bastards her husband had. Bernhard's personal fortune, likely much smaller, would have been divided per his will, between his six daughters. His daughters from mistresses would not have inherited any of Juliana's personal money.

You can insist on a DNA test to establish that someone is your parent. You only need enough evidence to support a very valid cause.
Hardly anybody would willingly agree to a DNA test to establish paternity. Not the QueenBee not her sisters, but just a short phone call to FatAlbert will convince them that once the court rules paternity is likely, denial will not help.

I was doing my groceries the other day and between pushing my cart to the  right line and my daughter wanting to buy the rest of the supermarket I thought I read on a tabloid that the bastards sisters are doing DNA testing and that more children will show up!!

Is bastard a dutch expression, because without trying to sound prim and proper, I find bastard rather derogative. I know however that in old german bastard isn't the offensive name but the expression for illegitimate. I only think that those women should not be brandished only because  their Daddy couldn't keep his pants up.
Just as a side note, not to be meant with a wagging finger.... Beer

Whatever Wink... To be honest I am much more interested in your avator clip (what was the name of it? gif, gib?)
what's happening there? I keep looking at it and wondering...is he chained to the window, holding on and kneeling in front? is the window frame coming down? Why isn't he running away? Rather intriguing....
