I don't think anyone's going to respect them. One look at the comment sections of any given tabloid article on Sofia is enough - almost all Swedes are far too smart to be fooled by that woman. A pity that CP isn't among them. But if he really expects to get respect for Sofia from Swedes or from other royals, he must also still believe in Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny.

Neither can I; but then again, I also don't understand the blind worship of royals that they all seem to have.  I guarantee that if CP and Skanky were to break up, we'd see nothing but negative comments from the very same people who are posting nothing but praise for Sofia.

Absolutely right  They love anything royal and anyone doing a royal,but once the gf or wife becomes an ex then they are trash that were never worthy of the royal in the first place. It's sickening

Have you seen the discussion a while back on sugars where some posters had the nerve to disapprove Snakey's nude shots and other escapades? Sugars turned it all upside down and in the end they were almost praising her for being some kind of brave feminist fighter fighting for women's rights etc.  The arguments turned crazy with people saying stuff like "we've all done wild things (Pose nude? Kiss porn stars? ) and shouldn't be called whores for it".  I don't know, I might be boring old fart but I certainly haven't done stuff like that. I was not born yesterday but I've never really had the desire to prance around and parade myself nude or become the village bicycle. I don't judge people too harshly and anyone can do what they want but I am not going to consider someone a hero for sluttying around, pardon my French. Of course it's not okay if women are judged different from men but I do consider some men sluts too.  Not that I think name calling is nice. Okay, I think I veered from the topic quite badly but... The idea here was that some people are crazy enough to start idolizing her just because sleeping with a royal apparently makes her a saint.

Agreed, Suzerain.  I also believe that when a "sugar" determines that another poster on that board doesn't fall at Yrma's feet, they intentionally post the opposite of that person, i.e. if a poster has expressed anything other than worship of The Clown Princess of Denmark, the sugars will circle the wagons; refer to that poster as rude, unintelligent, or jealous; and take every opportunity to portray that poster as having "...nothing better to do than criticise innocent people".

So when some of the same people criticising their Mary also criticised Sofia's choices and behavior, rather than respond to the specific criticisms of said behavior or choices, they chose to portray the posters as unfair and jumped on the bandwagon that portrays Sofia as young victim/commited philanthropist/powerful feminist/etc.  If Snakey and CP do end up together and have children, perhaps she will be a great mother.  But if she continues her attention-seeking ways and turns into the Swedish version of Mares' friend Helle, no doubt the sugars will portray her as beautiful/modern/progressive/mother-of-the-year/icon of all things feminine.  Oh well, at least she doesn't look like a man.

The headline says '"Darling, darling..." Sofia's dramatic attempt to save Carl Philip'.

I just read an article based on Expressen where it said they still haven't pressed the charges and the court is assessing is there a a need for police investigation. They fear Carl Philip might not be as innocent as everyone thinks the trial could take over a year and are thinking is it worth it. They just want to forget about it as soon as possible. Carl Philip's part in the proceedings is still unclear. The doorman says Carl Philip was provoked but the court says it happened out of the blue without provocation (What?! Is the court now saying CP attacked out of the blue..? Or the other man..?). "These are the sort of things that must be taken into account carefully when we consider how to proceed" the court (=Ternert?) says.

So... It sounds to me they're slowly getting more info from the prince and maybe they have watched the video. Ternert is still as incompetent as ever but for us dishers his need to comment too much and blurt out things is just juicy sometimes. What I fear is that thickheaded CP will now be even more etched together with Snakes since he really is not seeing the big picture. It's not "oh, we do fight a lot and everyone else seems to have noticed my bride is an awful classless thing that will hurt the country's reputation and the whole royal family", it's "I don't care what everyone else says, even if we fight all the time I am going to fight for our "love" because I'm a stubborn little idiot". Just you wait and see. He's going to marry her just because he is stubborn and blind.

I'm afraid the little idiot is going to prove you right sooner rather than later. He'd have to swallow his pride and admit that maybe, maaaaybe Sofia isn't as awesome as he thought she was. And as long as she keeps him befuddled with sex (because why on earth else is he still sticking with her), there's little chance of that.
