Autumn is just around the corner and it's time for a good transition coat. A good coat for late summer and autumn is a must and the royals are also several successors. See some of them here and get inspired:

I do like that white coat, and Waity's coat as well.  I love the pink coat but I would never buy it since I prefer neutral shades for a coat.

Isn't this a photo from the dinner where Mary was sitting next to Gordon Brown and he looked bored out of his mind?

Yes, it is.
She looks ridiculous with this coat and gloves compared to Fred and bodyguard.

LOL I hadn't even noticed that.  Grin It does seem more than a ittle silly that she's wearing a coat and gloves inside.

Can't like that coat for the simple fact that it seems too short for her dress. Call me silly, but I simply can't get my mind around that faux-pas.
Love Vickans pink coat. It is perfect for her. Most people choose more neutral shades for the simple fact that browns, greys, blacks and greys give you more mileage. Plus usually most of us will take off the coat at first opportunity. But for Vickan and her likes such coats are outdoor dresses, they probably only need a warm slim dress underneath that might not even see the light of day. It is a bit like QEII's colourful coats that always match the outfit perfectly. She needs to stand out already when stepping out of the car, which in a classic charcoal woolcoat is just not the same.
BTW, I ran across a fab Desigual coat recently and the girl in the shop said: why not, none of us today has only one coat, so go wild and have one that really stands out. Good advice actually, unfortunately one I couldn't take, three girls will take the entire budget for fun-expanses away and leave you with the bare essentials...

Women with good style and a big wallet love Bottega Veneta designs. When you are famous or royal, you must find a bag that's most elegant and luxurious, the trip go to Italy, specifically to the luxury label Bottega Veneta. Bottega Veneta is a luxury brand with great discretion. Unlike many other luxury brands Bottega Veneta no visible logos, and the company's slogan was in 1970 when also "When your own initials are enough".

Therefore, it is a brand that is perfect for royalty, not wishing to be a showcase for the products they use. Among others, Crown Princess Mary a big fan of the discreet luxury, that Bottega Veneta stands for. The price of the bags is also more expensive. The small clutch bags start at approx. 5000 dollars, while shoulder bags are around DKK 12,000.
