you've been warned Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are on track to set new standards for royal openness. Mary and Frederik are not stingy with himself. Saturday evening they added once new pages to the story of a modern royal couple, as DR1 transmitted from the ceremony of Crown Prince Couple's Rates in Aarhus Concert Hall.
Crown Prince From the beginning of their marriage brought a more generous style than the queen when it comes to inaugurate the Danes in their everyday lives. In the TV broadcast was the openness probably a boost, when the pair during the small interview vignettes told about their culture favorites. They were relaxed and in high spirits and enjoyed openly sharing of themselves.
- The openness, the exhibit is a basic condition for the time they are a part of. The royal family is healthy, they have taken it to heart. But it's not something that they run a different style than Queen Margrethe. They are just other people in another time. They are young, open people who like to make up, which is a quality which will help to carry the royal house into the new century, says Jon Bloch Skipper, who is a historian specializing in the royal house.
Protect your privacy He believes that Crown Prince, with its modern openness helps to ensure the foundation on which the royal house is built. Namely, a foundation of positive identification. Danes can see yourself in Mary and Frederik's values and norms, because they resemble their own. The two are able to signal that they are part of the time. That they are people of good and evil.
- It's really healthy, so long as they protect their privacy. The day the press begins to ransack their trash to find dirt, it goes wrong, says Jon Bloch Skipper.
As to be among friends DR journalist Anders Agger knows Frederik and Mary of working with the documentary series "Monarchy from within". They feel safe and comfortable in his company, and therefore it was he who was asked to interview them again. Probably we can thank him for the couple gave new chunks of their private lives, for it was his idea to ask specifically for their favorites in books, music, movies, etc.
- We had fun. Without claiming to be misunderstood, it was kind of like to sit with good friends and question each other about what we like best of one thing and another. It really should be much easier for them to respond specifically to the example of their favorite guitar solo rather than more abstract to have to explain their cultural consumption, says Anders Agger.

A bridge to those greener pastures can surely change to a tightrope over Victoria Falls. There is no way in the world for Derf and Merf to navigate these shark infested waters without getting bit. 'Danes can see yourself in Mary and Frederik's values and norms, because they resemble their own.'I'd love to see the average Dane sucking up to Prada for freebees, or spending a night in the local pub with a blond. Pede thanks for this reminder. They are not like every Karin and Neils. What a joke (yoke)

It really boggles the mind how the media is still going on with the "fairy tale love story" crap when Fred was caught dancing in a night club with a 20 something blonde

"Royal openness"?! Does this extend to ALERKA and the over-budget spending on Prada?

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...
