I loved Claire's, Cristina's Maxima's and Mathilde's dress.
I'm quite undecided about Letizia and Mette-Marit, there were some aspects of their dresses I liked and some I didn't like.
My least favourite dresses are the one of Mary (too much going on, badly ironed look and the weird hairdo/veil attachment) and of course the walking bow disaster Mabel. Spiteful

Of the recent brides, I really liked M-M's and detested Mary's and Letizia's, Mary's cause it was just overall too much and Leti's because she seemed swamped in it (Now if she was in something like M-M's in terms of simplicity) imo.

Little Star what a wonderful collection, thanks for sharing.
I would put Princess Margarets dress at the no#1 spot, followed by Grace Kelly and in more recent times maybe Maxima and a completely different but beautiful dress MM.
Fashion disasters were IMO Mabel (no explanation nec) Letizia and Sarah Chatto. Letizia becasue the dress clearly overwhelmed her frame and Sarah looked like she used a mummy as inspiration and could probably hardly breathe for the boobs bandaging.
Diana indeed looked like a "unmade bed" or a "crumbled meringue" but she was cutting edge at that time and the epitome of a princess. It took me several years to come out of the adoring "oh my God" and see the wrinkles... Grin

SOmeone else who didn't look very good in her dress, or I should better say whose dress didn't look as good as it should have, was QEII. Obviously her mothers design wish and the worst design of the forties (clearly not Hartwells best). However you barely notice the dress when you see that cute beaming face above it.

Oh I always liked Sara Chattos dress, her flowers, and her tiara. The dress reminds me a bit of Letizias red one.

I also adore Mette-Marits dress, I have seen it exhibited and you can`t see one singel stitch on it, its a miracle how it keeps together as it is made of more than 100 meters of silk chiffon, It looks so soft, like a cloud What I did not love was her over bleeched hair and that the veil was longer than the train. Also when we first saw her my dad said, why the **** is she carrying a snake into church Crazy

In the category stunning bride in a disaster of a dress is Queen Sivlia, so pretty and happy, and then her dress, Dior, no less, looked like a sack on her body, shapeless and with no decor what so ever.

I guess Im to young to ever be caught up in Dianas dress, always thought it looked like a crumbled meringue
