Yes that was OTT just like Celine Dion's wedding. At least Celine is still married  Whistle

Oh my God. And she reportedly fought to have that thing on her head...refused to take NO for an answer! At least her face looked okay. I think she is quite homely, but her wedding day makeup was perfect.   Thumb up

Hope I don't offend any Canadians or Celine Dion fans, but that is another ICKY couple whose wedding was waay too much and just came off being gaudy rather than impressive.

Their renewal of their wedding vow ceremony in Las Vegas was one of the tackiest things I have ever seen in my life. Again...a fortune was spent.

I like the idea of wedding gown in golden colour.

I don't mind gold, but Olga looks like she is going to a costume party, but like some Tudor woman going to a costume party as a Greek goddess.

It does indeed look like an outfit for a costume ball and not something to wear as a bridal gown.

I don't care for it all.  Thumb down

Royalish:
Princess Fabrizia Ruffo di Calabria (grand niece of Paola of Belgium) and Borja Benjumea de Soto. She was wearing the same veil Paola wore at her wedding:

Hmmmm....I am not sure how I feel about that dress..it could be pretty and I see what the designer was trying to do, but it looks too "young" for that particular bride and it has the same wrinkle problem Lady Diana Spencer's did.  Shocked

Thanks, ClaraSmiley

I was digging around and found some old royal wedding pics on one site. I must say Daisy didn't look bad as a young woman and that veil is so beautiful. She wore it much better than Meary IMO.

Daisy was a gorgeous bride, and I loved her veil.

She is not recognizable now as the person from her youth, imo. No
