Old boats are fascinating. I'm always astounded that people traveled SO far centuries ago in such small vessels. The explorers of yesteryear were courageous - gone for years into the unknown. I really admire craftsmen who can upkeep these historical craft so that they are still sea worthy. I find them important reminders of valour. And congratulations to Margrethe and Henrik on their 45th wedding anniversary.  They seem to be always 20 years exactly behind Elizabeth and Philip who celebrate 65 years married later this year.. in the year of QEII's 60th Jubilee. |

While that enormous gut looks EXTREMELY unhealthy, he seems to be doing well for his age. After all, he's 78 isn't he? Obviously the easy life contradicts any bad lifestyle habits like smoking, overeating and drinking etc..in this case anyway!
