It seems that Sylvia has been the epitome of class and discretion as well as duty all this time. Is she popular with Swedes? Respected?
When Silvia came to Sweden she caused Silvia fever. She was charming, beautiful, talented, "exotic", and had a good feeling and understanding for her new country. She was ambitious.
But after numerous scandals, like her husband's serial cheating, the press writing about her father's membership in the nazi party during WW II, and ofcourse the way she handled all of that, glossing it over, she seemed to fade away, and so did her relevance and popularity. These day I don't follow SRF much, but as a "fellow human being"
one can hope things will somehow work out for them in the end.
