And the death (murder directly, or by starvation) and so one of many Irish during and after British occupation of Ireland was correct?Huh?Huh?

The problems began back in 1169 didn't they, and compounded from there? Good and bad people on both sides but England was the aggressor.

I had to think of the saying that when two fight, two are guilty.

On both British and Irish side things went wrong, were faults/failures and crimes. I was irritated by the comments of the person who made the posted picture. Apparantly only able to see it from one, I guess his/her own side.

Quite right, seeing it from their side only. But on the same subject I could understand the Duke of Edinburgh's attitude on the visit.

Badly bruised hand on Queenie. Crap,
Probably old age, looks swollen and painful. I hope she recovers quickly. The pictures made me (again) realise she wont be around forever unfortunately.  Sad

The Queen’s visit to @sciencemuseum  today celebrated the technology of communications.

Tracing its origins from the Great Exhibition in 1851, the @sciencemuseum aims to ignite scientific curiosity among visitors of all ages.

Educating the next generation and sparking a passion for science is central to the @sciencemuseum’s mission.

I always wonder how Her Majesty feels about using technology like this. The world has advanced a lot in her lifetime, I can just imagine her amusement at sending a tweet or posting an Instagram picture, while reflecting on what society was like when she was younger. God bless her.

IIRK she sent her first email in 1976 and her first tweet in 2014.  She also reportedly made the first royal transatlantic phone call in 1939.  The things she's seen in her lifetime...it reminds me of videos on YT of kids being should "old" tech* and being asked to guess what it was used for.

*Kills me when that "old" tech was from the 90s or 00s.
