Thank you for posting this. I have been wondering if I would be able to hear her speak.

I take it as no news is good news. I do think if he wasn't doing well we'd have heard by now. If he has had an operation I'm not at all surprised with him needing a few weeks recovery time.

I had thought (and hoped) there would be almost daily updates on him, similar to the old-time town criers... "March 12th, and all's well with Prince Phillip."  It does feel a little unsettling for there to be such radio silence on him.  Hopefully it is a case of "no news is good news"!

Given the length of time he has been hospitalized, I am very concerned. Also the stress of the past few weeks certainly is not helping his blood pressure.

Yeah, I'm almost afraid to click on this thread when it comes up. I don't like the silence, either. Silence is not good with these folks.

I am remaining hopeful that the silence means he is recuperating nicely and that we will hear shortly that he is going back to Windsor.

I don't think DoE keeps his anger bottled up - so that's to the good, I think.

Seeing QEII hosting/participating in Zoom sessions makes me appreciate her as she continues to maintain her relevance (and perhaps the monarchy) throughout the ages - she really does seems to try to stay up on the latest events/news.

I become more concerned about Philip by the day. We are coming up on a month and not any kind of update. I fear he may never leave the hospital.

I agree. Someone that age with such a lingering stay is worrisome. Itís a lot of PT to get back on your feet and in shape for home. You donít have ďa lotĒ at 99.

Margrethe has done rather well after Henrik passed away; while the situation isnít totally comparable I think itís possible it would be a relief for Liz if Phillip suffers, when he doesnít anymore. He is 99.. I am still finding the silence worrying.

Iím feeling the same way. Hospitals arenít exact the safest places to be...hospital acquired infections, lack of activity, etc. I would think they would get him out and set up at Windsor if possible.

This is very true. A lot of people find it hard when their loved one passes away, but if their loved one is suffering, then it's a relief to know they are now pain-free and at peace. Philip has lived a long life, longer than most. He has been blessed to not only meet his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but build relationships with them. If he does go, it will be sad, but no one will be able to say gone too soon.

Prince Philip has left hospital, according to the BBC.

I hope he is able to rest and recuperate fully at home.
