No doubt, knowing Phillip, what has been expressed out loud was in very colorful language.

https://www.dailymail.co....st-good-friends-more.htmlThe Queen and horse racing manager Lord Porchester were 'just good friends', insists a royal historian as she hits back at The Crown's depiction of the two having an affair There's been strong rumours that Lord Porchester was Andrew's real father

Andrew does indeed bear a resemblance to Porchester. And really, who could blame her with Philip catting around?

Hmm, I'm not so sure. He looks nothing like Harry Herbert, who definitely takes after his father. The present Earl looks more like his mother so can't tell there. Genetics are fascinating. I mean, Andrew looks nothing like anyone in his family that I've seen. I'm waiting for the day I see some photo of one of those obscure German relations and that'll be it - the missing link!

I used to wonder whether Andrew was Porchy's son, but I am now sure Philip is his father because of the recent photo of Andrew where his eyes had an expression that I had seen often in photos of Lord Mountbatten. I'm not saying I am sure Elizabeth didn't have a fling with Porchy, just that Andrew is not his son.

I had to look up Porchester’s pic - he was very handsome and all the pics of him and the young Queen-she is beaming like the sun! The now older Queen is also beaming in the pics with Harry Herbert.
But I have to think she isn’t stupid and would use a condom if she did have an affair. I do think Andrew looks a bit like Herbert but it might just the fat face.

There does seem to be a bit of a resemblance between Andrew and Lord P. But I think that Philip is Andrew's father - not least because Andrew was said to be named after Philip's father. Quite a complicated double bluff if not the truth!

There was an article in Harpers & Queen in the 90s called All The Queen's Men, and it talked about all her, well, men. Her male friends. Constantine II, Carnarvon, Abercorn, Ogilvie, etc. Courtiers, cousins and horse-racing friends. It was actually pretty interesting.
That picture of the queen and "Porchie" shows her smiling so big because she's looking at a horse. She loves horses more than anything, except maybe Philip.

Even though it's fun to speculate, with all that HM knows about mating and breeding etc. she'd have been very careful if she did have an affair. If there had been any question she never would have named him after Phillip's father. Anyway - he does take after Lord Mountbatten in more ways than looks.

I hope the Queen did have a fling with Porchie, she definitely earned it after putting up with Philip’s liaisons.
In spite of this, I think Philip has always been the love of her life and she wouldn’t have wanted to have a baby with anyone else.
